Hey beautiful! Welcome to the long weekend! Are you up to anything lovely this weekend? I’ll be up in the Lake District while the sun shines, I think! Before I go… a fabulous elopement shoot which is food for thought as well. This is from lovely Courage & Dash – and I adore the quietness and beauty of it all.

We are inspired by the quiet elegance of English weddings, particularly casual, homely ones which feature personal touches, particularly English antiques and trinkets. We enter the day at the point where the couple is pausing to catch their breaths and reflect: the newly-married couple is back at the family home, spending some quiet moments together and soaking in the day.

It was in the colder months of the year that lovely Sam Cook Photography got in touch to share this – a wonderfully warming, authentic and artfully styled shoot from The Lost Orangery, Euridge House in Colerne, north Wiltshire. I fell head over heels for its beauty: the crumbling walls, elegant florals and gentle autumnal hues. See below for the full supplier list!

Are you a country girl at heart? Did you grow up in a village, learn about the different leaves at school and grow up loving the English countryside? Then today’s feature is just for you, my lovely!

I spent my own childhood in a small village in the Lake District. Those days were all about playing out in the sunshine, and as I grew up I would explore the country lanes and fall in love with nature. My mum had “The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady” on her bookshelf; now I own a copy of my own. The illustrations capture our native flora and fauna so perfectly; Edith’s words take me back to a place in time…

Welcome to the new week everyone! How is this glorious sunshine making you feel? On such a beautiful day I simply had to share this stunning shoot found in my inbox – it’s by a super talented bunch of Cirencester wedding suppliers, whose artisan, sustainable approach has my heart. The stunning images are everything – every shot is just perfect. They’re by  Rachel Jane Photography, and the words (and dreamy florals) are by lovely Fi from Corky and Prince.
