I’ve discovered SO many talented wedding photographers and suppliers this year! It feels like 2023 is going to be amazing with everyone hitting the top of their game… and today I’m really excited to introduce you to a documentary wedding photographer whose images I love.

Peak District wedding photographer Tom Hodgson is based in Sheffield and captures weddings all over the UK and destination weddings worldwide.

Every time I add someone new to the English Wedding directory I have a good old nosey around their blog and the About page of their website. Tom’s are both great! (For the record, I’m 100% with you on the whiskey and on the ironing, Tom!)

I was chatting to lovely Emma from Emma Jane Events back in January(!), and explaining what I do as a wedding blogger. I was smiling my little head off when I said the thing I love most is having an inbox full of gorgeous photos every day – and today’s welcome for Ellie Gillard is the perfect example of how all those amazing wedding pics make me grin! I may have just spent the best part of an hour gazing at Ellie’s blog (her photos are just incredible). LOVE my job!

We’re thrilled to share some beautiful French wedding inspiration with you this morning. The theme is wintry and beautiful with pops of warming reds and berries. The location is a dream château in the south of France. The love is real from gorgeous couple Romane & Loïc. Perhaps this beautiful, relaxed photoshoot will inspire some of you to choose a destination wedding in France!

Thank you to Anaïs, wedding planner at Wed’Love for her words, to French wedding photographer Sylvia Calmet, and to the talented team who brought this wonderful photoshoot to life!

The first York Place Studios wedding of the year is always a treat for me. I feel as though I’m letting all of you newly engaged couples out there into a really special secret. Here we have the kind of wedding you rarely see on big wedding websites: it’s authentic, brilliant and almost like a normal day but set to maximum joy and love!

I should probably explain this better.

A stunning wedding in Hampshire with some gorgeous little personal touches. When this pair landed in my inbox I was instantly smitten! Emma’s Sophie Rose Bridal dress is amazing – ticking all the boxes for our beautiful bride, who “wanted something I could hug, eat and dance in!” The images are stunning, by lovely Captured by Crissi (Hampshire based wedding photographer) – who gets the BEST review from our happy couple below!
