Wedding cakes are crowd pleasers – everyone waits for the ‘cutting the cake’ moment at any traditional wedding. And who doesn’t love that wedding cakes are all sponge and chocolate flavoured layers these days?! I get it. Wedding cakes are one tradition we love to keep (while I for one am perfectly happy to throw nearly every other tradition out the window!) – and Rosalind Miller‘s new wedding cake collection fits the bill perfectly.

I’d love to be closer to some of England’s beautiful historic cities – just to be able to explore the architecture and beautiful craftsmanship from days gone by. Seeing news from some of the glorious spaces which are now hosting weddings in Oxford has me yearning to be able to visit – and this sounds like such an exciting event I wanted to share it with all of you.
The Bodleian Libraries is throwing open the doors to its unique wedding showcase at 7pm, Saturday 3 November 2018. The event will take place in the historic Divinity School, Convocation House and Chancellor’s Court, all within the Libraries’ site in central Oxford and at the Sheldonian Theatre next to the Bodleian Libraries.

Happy Monday lovelies! Did you have a nice weekend? We were in Manchester – had a lovely time at the folk festival on Thursday night, then shopped on Friday and met up with family, and I had a lovely calligraphy workshop on Saturday afternoon. Coming back into Cumbria was nice… it’s always such a relief to see the sea and mountains again after a trip away!
