It’s not often I stumble across something really special, new, unique and different for weddings. (I’ve been blogging here at English Wedding since 2009…) but this year, the couples we’ve featured on the blog have mentioned, enough times to make me sit up and take note, something absolutely brilliant.
I’ll just stop for a moment and say this isn’t a sponsored post. It’s simply something I’ve found and love so much I couldn’t resist sharing! (with a little help from a good friend).
Nothing beats an intimate elopement, and today’s real couple headed up to the Lakes for theirs. Alison is the prettiest bride, Darren her perfect match and this simple celebration at the Gilpin Hotel has everything you could ever need for a memorable, wedded bliss kind of escape!

If you’re planning on getting married, this day will naturally be one of the biggest of your life, and can get a little stressful as well as exciting. Here, Jo Webber, Herbal Education Lead at Pukka Herbs will show you some natural tips for relieving wedding nerves.
Organising a wedding and getting married is a thrilling experience, but it can also be a nerve-wracking time. After all your efforts organising the wedding and writing the guest list, you’ll want to just relax and enjoy the day, so it’s important to find some ways to focus on your enjoyment of the event and manage those nerves.
Gorgeous couple Georgie & Sam had two wedding days and booked Joan Jellett Photography to capture both! Their first wedding was an intimate ceremony at Poole Guild Hall, followed a couple of weeks later by a joyful and very personal celebration at Tunnels Beaches in ilfracombe. We’ve LOVED hearing all the details and scrolling through their wedding photos – we hope you will too!
