Victoria & Bobby’s beautiful, meaningful Devon wedding, with Grace Elizabeth Photography

Special people say the loveliest things. Victoria and Bobby’s supplier reviews and recommendations are bringing a tear to my eye – but there’s so much more I want to say about this gorgeous pair and their beautiful wedding. (Photographed, by the way, by the amazing Devon wedding photographer Grace Elizabeth.)
We don’t share weddings just “for the ‘gram” or because of the pretty styling. English Wedding exists to connect couples with fabulous suppliers, to share honest recommendations from real people – and to bring a smile to your lovely face!
Before popping on to do this little write-up this morning, I had a peek at @graceelizphoto‘s instagram. This one post by Grace really got me: “From the moment my dad and I walked into this wedding day, we were considered part of the family. Bobby, Victoria and their friends and family are genuinely some of the loveliest people you could ever hope to meet. Bobby kept saying ‘I know you’re our photographers but please make sure you enjoy today okay? We want you to be here and enjoy the day!’ He genuinely meant every word.” So – wonderful people, incredible venue, super talented photographer team – this glorious Devon wedding is everything.

Wedding photographer review
We had the absolute pleasure of having Grace and her dad Chris as our wedding photographers, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better team. From the moment they arrived, they made us feel completely relaxed and at ease, it honestly felt like having friends with us rather than photographers. Their calm and friendly presence helped the whole day flow so naturally, and they captured every special moment without ever feeling intrusive. They were prepared for anything, blending professionalism with genuine warmth and care. You can tell they love what they do, and it really shines through in their work.

Your best wedding moment or memory
It’s so hard to pick one, we’d probably have to say the surprise singing waiters, we had no idea that was going to happen, it was the best surprise and got everyone up and dancing it was a great Ice breaker

Country Ways Devon
From the very first visit, we knew this was the place for us, our first visit was a weeks holiday and was where Bobby proposed to me right in the same spot we got married. they went above and beyond to bring our dream wedding to life. Every detail, no matter how small, was remembered and taken care of with such care and attention. The whole day ran so smoothly, and that’s all down to the team’s experience, warmth, and dedication. Tracey was absolutely amazing – calm, supportive, and genuinely passionate about making our day unforgettable. Country Ways is not just a stunning venue, it’s run by people who truly care. We’ll always be grateful for everything they did to make our day so perfect.
Tell us anything you did differently – we love hearing about NEW traditions (or none at all!)
Holly the highland cow at country ways (our wedding venue) was brought down for all the guests to meet her before we took her for a walk and photos

Tell us a little about your outfits – both of you!
Victoria – My wedding dress was from La Nova in Norfolk. They don’t exist anymore since getting my dress. My shoes were from asos Be Mine. My pearl necklace was my late nanny’s, she wore it for her wedding, so did my mum and my sister for theirs.

Bobby – The groom & groomsmen suits were from Slaters. Ties were from Next.

Dingles of Devon Florist
The flowers were beautiful, we wanted simple with a little touch to Bobby’s late nan who was named Iris.

Cake maker name + review
Sainsbury’s!
We aren’t too fussed about cakes so went for a simple 2 tiered semi naked cake.
Wedding readings?
We had registrars from the council for the ceremony with a reading from our brother in law James
Wedding planner name + review
Tracey at Country Ways did all the organising at the venue, she made sure we didn’t need to worry about much once we were there for the week.
Hair + makeup name + review
Hair was Kayleigh Louise. She’s the best with hair, I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to do my wedding hair.
Makeup was by Chloe Bond – she was so lovely and knew exactly how I wanted my makeup from the trial, very professional and welcoming.
