Introducing… The Garden Lodge ‘readying room’ at The Ferry House

Published by Claire Gould on

English Wedding member The Ferry House is delighted to reveal a new, second ‘readying room’; The Garden Lodge, just one of a long list of exciting developments at their waterside barn wedding venue in Kent.

In a secluded spot of their 1.5 acre Kitchen Garden, it’s the ideal space – far enough from the venue that you have privacy to help settle any big day nerves, but close enough so that you still feel part of the action. Enjoy brunch platters of freshly baked pastries, a selection of homemade rolls, sweet fruit picked from your garden surrounds and a fruit juice or few glasses of fizz on the terrace – perfect for that bit of calm and fresh air before you say ‘I do’.

Alongside the classic Ferry House touches of vibrant pheasant wallpaper, warm wood, handmade bespoke pieces and vintage and industrial decor, there’s also a custom, handcrafted rustic dresser with light up mirrors and seating for three, making getting glammed a dream. With the welcome addition of a hair washing sink (something a little extra to the current Powder Room), a dressing area for the big reveal and ‘The Ferry House’ neon sign, you’ve got a wonderfully Instagrammable setting. Finally, add tea and coffee making facilities, a large comfy seating area and lots of lovely natural light to make this the perfect place to gather with your wedding party.

The Powder Room and the new Garden Lodge are both included in your package, so each of you has a wonderful ‘readying’ space too. Nicely spaced apart so there’s no chance of bumping into each other, you can both relax and enjoy the morning leading up to your ceremony in idyllic surrounds, with everything you could possibly need.
