Sarah & Terry’s brilliantly fun family wedding at Hampton Manor, with York Place Studios
Balance is hugely important to me. I feel a responsibility as a wedding blogger – there has to be reality on here. As much as I love a styled photoshoot, and I do enjoy the fine art style of wedding blogs, it’s the reality of a wedding that thrills me. There’s the beautiful bride, the gorgeous details and all the elegant styling of course. But on the day, there’s the excitement. There’s that pure excitement and overwhelm and the buzz and nervousness of a wedding day. I’m sure you’ve heard other couples say it all goes by in a blur – I know I have. It’s a whirlwind of people, of faces and hugs and having the best day ever with everyone you love all at once.
And that’s what York Place Studios have captured in Sarah & Terry’s Hampton Manor wedding. It’s a great big pot of happiness and love, filled with people and connections and all those very special things we’re all missing right now. So when I scroll through this amazing day I see how it feels. I see how it feels to be married, to be surrounded by everyone in your life, to feel all the emotion and excitement of a wedding day. And I love this more than anything.
York Place Studios are London wedding photographers and I’m proud to say they’re members of English Wedding. Their way of capturing a wedding is unique: it’s full of life, authentic, busy, thoughtful and insightful and real. And that’s the balance I want to show you today. Styling is important and fun, but what you’ll remember for the rest of your life is the buzz and overwhelm and unimaginable excitement and happiness of a wedding. Just look at this.
