Let’s start the week with a reminder of how amazing things used to be…. and a reminder that they WILL get back to normal. We don’t know when, but there WILL be hugs and parties and gatherings of favourite people and love and romance and just pure joy with bunches of happy humans all celebrating together. Hang in there, everyone… In the meantime let’s look back on a super glamorous and FUN wedding with our fabulous friends and London wedding photographers York Place Studios. Gorgeous Ally & Alex’s black tie wedding took place at Hedsor House – and despite the rain this gorgeous pair had a BLAST! I love how the story of their wedding builds in excitement and joy through their wedding photographs: from the nerves and closeness of Ally’s bridal prep through the romantic ceremony, super classy reception and the amazing party vibes at the end of the day. This is a beauty of a wedding!

As always with our York Place Studios weddings, the day skips from real moment to real moment, taking in every interaction and every emotion of the day. We are obsessed with our wedding photos!!

We didn’t want a typical set of posed wedding photographs that we would never look at. We were hoping for wedding photos that could capture the feeling and energy of our wedding, from the excitement of getting ready with our bridal party, to the intimacy of our ceremony, to the craziness of the dance floor. York Place Studios did an amazing job of capturing moment after moment in a way that tells a story through different perspectives, and takes you back to those moments every time you look at the photos. Since receiving our slideshow a few weeks ago we must have watched it 20 times!

Aside from the actual photos, we enjoyed working with Dom and Liam who were flexible, fun, and down to earth, and captured shots without being intrusive. While looking at photos, friends and family several times mentioned they didn’t realize pictures were being taken at the time, a testament to how Dom and Liam were able to capture the day naturally.
