Summer vintage wedding styling inspiration, with Lauren Beth Photography
For those of you settling back into a more tranquil home as kiddies head back to school today… welcome. Please come and join us in this relaxed and pretty little space of the internet, where flowers and beautiful things distract us from the bustle of our daily routines. Today we have a gorgeous, mini summer vintage styled shoot from Lauren Beth, a photographer based in East Sussex. Lauren recently arranged a mini summer vintage styled shoot with a small group of suppliers – as this took place in the midst of lockdown, where photographing couples/ models was not possible, Lauren took the opportunity to focus on the details that go into making a wedding day special!
When lovely Lauren sent me these images, she said she hopes this little shoot can inspire future couples that small wedding set ups can be just as beautiful as large gatherings. I couldn’t agree more – and I think the photos you’re about to see are all the proof we need that cosy and intimate can be ever so lovely when it comes to weddings. With love,
I love capturing the details of a wedding day, the little things that make the day so unique and special for each wedding couple. I’ve always liked the idea of a more non-traditional outdoor wedding, with relaxed seating & wanted to showcase how this can be created for brides and grooms with a similar love for intimate weddings.
With current circumstances, I really wanted to stay creative and connect with other businesses within the wedding industry. I felt it was a great time to focus on all of the little details that go in to making your wedding day special.
After browsing, I found a stationer who uses plantable seeded paper and fell in love with her delicate floral designs. The concept of being able to plant your wedding stationery is wonderful, both eco friendly and a lovely memory to have watching the seeds bloom after your wedding day. To be able to have beautiful stationery & beautiful flowers to enjoy as a reminder of your special day, to me, is a no brainer! This got me planning an elegant summer wedding theme, filled with gorgeous seasonal florals.
The gardens I chose are filled with beautiful greenery and stone walls, which was the perfect backdrop for a summery theme with a vintage touch.
It helps to have a clear vision when it comes to choosing your theme and bringing individual details together. If you have a colour scheme in mind, choose suppliers that are able to incorporate these into their products, whilst complimenting the work from other suppliers involved. I loved how each detail and the chosen colours of peach & sage were displayed throughout every aspect of this shoot. From the flower arrangements to the floral napkins, hand painted floral biscuits to the delicate stationery design & beautiful hair piece, finished with hand written calligraphy signs and rustic wooden furniture. These are the small details that can make your wedding day truly special and personal to you as a couple.
I feel if you are able to, it’s also great to support your local independent businesses, wherever possible, when it comes to choosing your suppliers. I feel so grateful to have worked with some amazing businesses in my local area to help make my little vision come to life!
I hope this set up can inspire future wedding couples that small, intimate weddings can be just as beautiful and special as large weddings.
