Keyanna & Lawrence – a beautiful beach elopement

Published by Claire Gould on

I spotted this gorgeous pair on instagram and they made me so happy: their sense of being blissfully wrapped up in each other, their beaming smiles… right now, love like this is EVERYTHING. There’s something serendipitous about all of this. Keyanna and Lawrence live in Canada, but Lawrence was born in Ipswich and they came to the UK for Christmas… and happily for everyone, they got in touch with Grace (having never met before) and arranged this photoshoot. The result: wonderfully fun, authentic, romantic images I just know they’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Huge thanks to Devon wedding photographer Grace Elizabeth for sharing her beautiful photos, and to lovely Keyanna for telling me a little about their engagement shoot experience!

Keyanna told me a little about how wonderful it was to be there:

“Back when we decided we’d like to have engagement photos done in England, and I began searching #suffolkphotographers on Instagram all the way from Canada, I never thought I’d find someone we’d connect with so well. Booking a photographer from across the world seemed like a bit of a risk. But I loved Grace’s online presence and felt like she’d be the type of person I’d want to be friends with, so we took the risk!

And oh my GOODNESS! She captured our love and friendship so well.

The way Lawrence and I look at each other in her photos are the way we really look at each other, always. It doesn’t look staged or forced. She allowed us the comfort of really showing who we are as a couple. Plus we had the best time hanging out with her!

The photos are something I will cherish forever, and my only wish is that we lived closer to Grace so that we could be actual friends!”

For me, this is the most beautiful reminder that love is everything. Right now, those hugs, those arms we can wrap ourselves up in and that closeness we have with another is to be treasured more than ever. Lovelies, I am thinking of you all every day and hoping you stay safe, together, and well.

I’ll be turning my screen off for the Easter weekend – but back on Monday with some more beautiful wedding inspiration for you.

With love,
