Deep greens and red berries for Kayleigh and Alex’s winter wedding, with Katrina Matthews Photography
Hey lovelies! Does anyone have snow yet? We’ve seen a sprinkling… I wonder if it’s settling prettily in Scotland right now?! Anyone? I’m excited to be sharing more winter weddings with you over these next few weeks, following on from Adam and Lauren‘s beautifully snowy day featured on Wednesday! Today it’s the turn of gorgeous couple Kayleigh and Alex, whose wedding was at the beautiful Waddesdon Dairy in Buckinghamshire on the 16th of December last year.
Alex is from Scotland so there was plenty of tartan to be seen and the couple had picked a colour theme that not only worked perfectly with the family tartan but also the season. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous emerald green dresses and the flowers had an abundance of deep green foliage with red berries and blue ribbon creating a really decadent display.
There was a little snow on the ground and the temperature was close to freezing but the couple braved the winter weather to get some lovely photos around the grounds of the venue. Inside the dining room had two huge open fires to keep guests warm, adding to the cosy and intimate feel of the day.
As the light faded the party moved into the conservatory come glass house, where the band got guests up on their feet and the fun continued throughout the night.
