Earcandy: Putting Our Heart and Soul into Your Wedding

Published by Claire Gould on

I don’t know about you, but weekends (which include Fridays) are all about music. I start the day with Spotify before cereal, and dance at my desk while I’m blogging…. so introducing our newest English Wedding members Earcandy seemed like the perfect thing to do this afternoon! I love that these guys are a tight-knit team. They know their bands. They know their customers and that guarantees you really exceptional personal service – and a buzzing dancefloor all night long!

“Music makes memories. Listening to music is one of the most powerfully emotive things that you can do. It can lift the spirits, it can calm you down, it can move you to tears. And we all have that one song that instantly transports us to another time and place. Our job, at Earcandy, is to make sure that your wedding is packed full of them, with exceptionally talented live acts, playing your kinds of music.

A small company with a big commitment to getting things right, Earcandy was launched in 2010. A love of music – particularly Motown – was our original driving force. It’s still at the heart of everything that we do, but it’s been joined by something else: an understanding that it is in our power to make perfect days live forever. Because nothing makes memories like music.

So, what can we give you? Songs that are already special and mean the world to you. Songs that will forevermore be special because of THAT moment. Songs that will instantly evoke the sensation of your dad’s steadying arm as you fight down the nerves of walking down the aisle. Songs that will always bring back that silly smile when you turned and saw that face and those eyes nervously seeking yours. The song that Granny danced to. The song that brought others together. The songs that made up one of the very best days of your lives.

That’s our job; it’s what we do. And it’s such an enormous privilege.

During the course of the last eight years, we’ve invested our time and energy into creating an Earcandy benchmark of quality. Our acts deliver what you want from them. Never anything less. We now work with 11 groups of consummate professionals, catering for almost every musical taste, from Motown, soul and swing jazz to rock, pop and a DJ-sax duo, for those who want something just a little bit different. But while, of course, each group has its own repertoire, regardless of the Earcandy act you choose for your wedding, playlists are fluid, with each event being tailored specifically to meet each couple’s requirements. Our performers have worked with some of the best in the business – think Jools Holland, The Saturdays, Elton John – and will always bring their all to every performance because they love what they do. And want you to love it too.

As entertainment companies go, Earcandy is very much on the small side. But that’s our strength. Because we are able to offer a personal service. The full team is briefed for every booking taken, and if there’s something that we can do to make your day extra special for you, then the chances are that we’ll do it.

With or without us, your wedding will be perfect, no matter what you do! As long as it’s the way that YOU want to do it. And that’s really the ethos of Earcandy today. Our aim is not only to provide the best quality live musical acts for events across the UK. But, to make every single one unique, magical and utterly memorable. Music is the key to tha! But if you’re unsure about the reliability of your own memory after refreshments have been partaken, the Earcandy film service can help, proving photos and videos to cherish!
