Love amongst the bluebells – back to nature with a relaxed wedding editorial
One of the best holidays I ever had was in Cornwall a couple of years ago for my birthday. We walked sections of the coastal path through fields of wild bluebells, and I’ll never forget the scent of those beautiful landscapes. We were glamping as well, so this shoot really reminds me of that magical holiday! So wedding photographers: send me bluebells and you win. I adore them. (If you love them too and you’re interested in protecting our native species, check out the Big Bluebell Watch and take part in 2019!)
This gorgeous bluebell-filled styled wedding shoot is perfect for late spring wedding inspiration. Our lovely friend and English Wedding Directory member Cassandra June sent it to me, so I will let her explain how she brought this timeless look together. Claire xxx
The wedding industry is heavily influenced by trends and ‘Pinterest brides’ I wanted to almost go back to basics with a classic, elegant design and a happy joyful bride that adores the outdoors and animals (much like me!!) I wanted to use the elements and colours of the season to really showcase them and to bring to brides an achievable, beautiful look. The look has hints of vintage heritage to make the most of the stunning location. The shoot took place at the wonderful St Patricks barn on the stunning earl of Limericks estate in West Sussex.
The real passion here was to bring the shoot alive with the sunshine and hope, for the coming summer. Using details and elements of nature, such as the hand dyed botanical runners, napkins and silks. Think of a gorgeous woodland glade, eating al fresco and sharing this with your beloved animals too. Why not incorporate all of this to bring a feeling of love and togetherness.
The couple are a real couple and I can really see the love shining through – and after all isn’t that what this is all about? LOVE. So revel in the great outdoors and style to compliment the season. Cassandra June Weddings & Events – http://cassandrajune.co.uk
