How was your weekend? I’ve been working away quietly on calligraphy projects for the summer as well as a very early walk in the mountains on Saturday morning… blissful! I love it when Mondays don’t feel like work though… and today with beautiful Sahiti and Nitin’s wedding on my screens I feel happy, joyful… I really do love my job!
This gorgeous pair had two ceremonies in the Great Hall at Ragley Hall, a stunning country mansion set in thousands of acres of its own estate overlooking unspoilt Warwickshire countryside. Their civil ceremony was held in the morning, followed by a traditional Hindu ceremony in the afternoon. As I’m sure you’ve guessed, there are so many wonderful details from Sahiti’s beautiful henna to her classic white lace dress, and there’s the most wonderful air of celebration throughout the entire day – if you could capture the warmth, joy and love of a family celebration in one series of photographs, ladies and gents this blog post would be IT!
Images are by recommended Ragley Hall wedding photographer Clive Blair – who also happens to be one of the English Wedding Blogs wonderful sponsors. Clive is of course very familiar with Ragley Hall and knows the staff as well as all the best locations around the venue for stunning wedding photography. “If you’re looking for a stately home in the Warwickshire country-side to host your wedding and reception you can’t go wrong with Ragley Hall. So please check it out as you’re sure to be as impressed as I am every time I come to visit.”
“Since I met Sahiti and Nitin and shot their pre-wedding shoot, I’ve been looking forward to shooting their weddings, for some time, as I knew it was going to be a wonderful riot of colour and great moments to capture. As they wanted 2 photographers I asked the talented Alex Miller to be my second shooter for the day. Alex you were invaluable!
But how do you condense a full day’s shooting into a few images? Impossible, but I hope you get sense of the spirit of the day through these favourite images of mine.”
