Fine art beauty meets London chic at The Dead Dolls House, with Amanda Karen Photography

Hi everyone! I have been saving up this beauty of a shoot to glam up your Monday and give your eyes a treat! Lovely English Wedding Blog sponsor Amanda Karen Photography delights us every time with her editorial shoots, and this is one of her very best. Teaming up with Fleur & Fig Styling & Events, the look is fine art beauty mixed with an edge of London chic. The backdrop is the fabulous (and brilliantly named) Dead Dolls House, which inspired Fleur & Fig’s styling and design concepts you’re about to see.

I adore the deep blues and greys used throughout the shoot: the cake crafted by Wildflower Cakes is breathtaking, and teamed with soft grey silk linens from Lancaster and Cornish and crockery from Classic Crockery it looks stunning. Lovely Lauren at Oh Wonder Calligraphy created a luxe invitation suite in her signature style with the most delicate hand torn edges and romantic calligraphy.

The showstopper is Joanne Truby‘s incredible floral arch, delicately placed over the tablescape to give a true sense of fine art luxury. The flowers incorporated mainly white and green tones with a pop of soft pink to add a feminine touch.

It’s great to see the groom’s accessories looking so good: his vintage Omega pocket watch (and that glass of whisky) fit perfectly with the venue! Meanwhile the bride wears beautiful gold accessories from Tilly Thomas Lux and a delicious sapphire and diamond ring kindly provided by the London Victorian Ring Company.

The dress was a bespoke design by UK designer Chantal Mallett Bridal Couture who created a stunning tulle fishtail skirt to create a sense of romance and gorgeous movement as our bride moved. This was finished with a sculpted bodice and a statement bow as our London bride favours fashion and knew that this should be reflected in her wedding dress. Beautiful sketches were created as part of the design process, a lovely touch for a bride to remember her dress.
