1920s inspired bridal style… with a dramatic and beautiful grunge twist!

Oh, this couldn’t be more perfect… glorious and glamorous vintage with a personal, characterful and theatrical twist. Think smoky – smoking – eyes and moody, bruised lipstick… sumptuous fabrics and delectable detailing. This shoot features every rock chick’s dream wedding look – and the inspiration comes from a group of the most creative UK wedding suppliers, at Moggerhanger Park in Bedfordshire.

I fell in love with this shoot the instant I spotted it on Michelle Wood‘s photography blog. Check her out at:

I’m thrilled to be sharing these fabulous images with English Wedding Blog readers today – I know you’ll adore them as much as I do! There are three distinctive looks and styles, each wonderfully vintage-inspired but with a divine grunge twist which is right up my street.

Michelle told me a little about the day: “Styled by myself and Anika Miller, the shoot was inspired by the glamour of the 1920s but with a grunge twist. We wanted dark smudgy eyes, deep violet lips and hair that looks its best back-lit. Think hazy hedonistic rather than roaring 20s…”

“The beautiful dresses, made to measure, came from The Wedding Workshop in Ampthill and hair was designed and styled by Anika Miller of Bluebird Boutique. The floral headpiece was designed and created by Noeleen at The Basement Florist and bespoke headpieces designed by Ami-Lu.”
