I truly believe that part of a wedding supplier’s job is to inspire, to create and to invent. While it’s easy to stick with popular products, couples still like to see innovative designs, unique ideas and creative touches to eke an “ooh” out of wedding guests.
I want to push myself, create new things and help other wedding suppliers do the same, so we can share them with you lovely brides and grooms. I also want to find the most creative wedding inventors out there – whether they’re pro suppliers, start up businesses or even crafty brides and grooms – who would like to share their own ideas and products with engaged couples.
In 2013 I had a great time being involved in creative shoots, with my calligraphy featuring first of all in Fiona Campbell and Kat Forsyth’s fantasy fairytale wedding inspiration shoot.
I had a great time creating some unusual calligraphy pieces for Karen Flower and our woodland inspiration shoot was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog. The table runner and rustic tags fitted in perfectly and allowed me to add new designs to my collection.
Now I’m planning a creative shoot of my own and I’d like to invite talented and new wedding suppliers in the North West to take part. I can’t tell you too much, but this shoot will involve as many designers’ work as I can squeeze in, with full credits for everyone and as much promotion as I can get it. There’ll also be a DIY element and I’ll be showing brides and grooms how to recreate some of the displays we make on the day…
Can you help?!
I’d love to hear from as many wedding designers, crafters and suppliers as possible. If you can lend* me something for the shoot – accessories, flowers, brooch bouquet (my dream!) or if you’d like to join us for the day, please email me! info@English-Wedding.com and I’ll tell you more of our secret plans…
*I’ve heard so many stories about designers’ items not being returned. I promise everything you send me will be sent straight back to you within days of the shoot. It will also be cared for lovingly on the day. Trust me – I’m a calligrapher (and I’d be gutted if any of my designs were binned, damaged or lost so I know how it would feel)!
