Carrina and Simon were lucky enough to be married at the spectacular St Audries Park in Somerset in October, and their wedding caught my eye for its rich colours, styling and location. St Audries Park is gorgeous – the ivy climbing the tower is the most romantic backdrop and makes for amazing images.

Simon Biffen Photography – a beautiful St Audries Park wedding blog

My lovely friend and sponsor Simon Biffen emailed me to share a sneak peek of Rebecca and Simon’s wedding from St Audries Park in Somerset. The image above is just a snippet of one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve seen this year.

Please, please go and look at the wedding on Simon’s blog – and watch out for the most incredible sunset wedding photograph. You’ll know which one I mean. 😉

Hi everyone! Last week on the English Wedding Blog I asked for your very best ideas for flower power inspired wedding styling. And I’m so happy to say you shared some wonderful images, ideas and designs! I will definitely run a blog feature like this again, I’ve loved seeing everything you emailed me last week.

My top 11 wedding ideas – flower power style!

I asked you to share ideas and inspiration for a bright, exciting, slightly bohemian and hippy wedding theme – in a nutshell I wanted ‘Flower Power’ wedding ideas as an antidote to all the Great Gatsby hysteria. And boy did you share some lovely ideas 🙂 So here are my 11 favourites from the items you shared last week. I hope you love them too!

I’m so happy to be welcoming back one of my lovely English Wedding Blog sponsors this morning. Simon Biffen is a Somerset wedding photographer who is really passionate about his work. Simon told me he believes inspired wedding imagery requires a creative and open mind. It also requires a connection between the photographer and the subject.

Picking the right wedding photographer is like choosing your dress: intuition, fate, call it what you will, but deep down you know when it feels right. I want you to feel that connection with me, that bond of likemindedness so that every time you look through your wedding images, you know you made absolutely the right decision with choosing me as your wedding photographer.

I think perhaps I’m becoming known for my love of sunshine! I live at the seaside, and when it’s cold it’s sooooo cold: but when the sun shines it’s incredibly beautiful. And I talk about it a LOT! Somerset wedding photographer Simon Biffen knows exactly how to get my attention: with an offer of a beautifully sunny Sorrento wedding blog feature!

Lucy and Joe were married last summer and invited Simon Biffen to be their wedding photographer. Lucy is English and Joe is American, so they chose a destination wedding in Italy as a way of meeting in the middle!

Their theme included purple details and the wedding day was timeless and simple in style, with the location and love creating all the atmosphere you could dream of!

Imagine the romance of waves on a beach, the soft ripple of the sea on a still day. Rachel and Eugene’s wedding with waves has everything: the looks of pure love are reflected in every image, even in the styling of their day: pastel palettes, delicate flowers and a dream wedding venue.

Rachel’s hair is divine – with twists of the prettiest wildflowers in a beautiful braid. The love in Eugene’s eyes is there for all to see. This is an inspiring and wonderful wedding in every way imaginable. Watch out for the ice cream and the bubbles too! Thank you to Rachel and Eugene for writing a little wedding report, and to wedding photographer Simon Biffen for sharing their day with us all at English Wedding Blog. Enjoy today’s little sprinkling of beauty. Claire xxx

I emailed Simon immediately to ask permission to share it with all of you… and then realised he’d already emailed me and offered. Lovely guy. And that’ll teach me to play on facebook before I’ve checked my emails, won’t it…

But do go and read all about Vicky and Chris’s wedding. It’s beautiful – there’s everything from one of our very best wedding venues through to croquet and a lovely bulldog in the best man’s speech, a stunning bride, beautiful dress, delicious sunshine and an orangery wedding – quintessentially English. Beautiful, and recommended reading!

I’m feeling quite proud of English Wedding Blog this week. Today’s real wedding in Dorset is one reason for my pride – it’s such a lovely countryside wedding day, relaxed and happy and full of ideas.

Wedding photography in Dorset (7)

Andy and Polly were married at Bryanston School Church, Blandford Forum, Dorset. Their wedding reception was in a marquee on the lawn at Hanford School, Child Okeford, Dorset.

They chose Somerset wedding photographer Simon Biffen to photograph their day – and he documents their wedding beautifully. The pictures I have to show you today start with clay pigeon shooting and take us through the wedding ceremony, reception and on to twilight… it’s a beautiful English wedding and I do hope you enjoy the feature!
