A joyful 2019 wedding with a traditional ceremony in a 600 year old church. Beautiful bride Anoushka wears a bespoke Mona Vora gown with lace detail and a stunning back. Ivy trails from a loose bouquet full of foliage with sea holly, salix (willow) and blue / grey leaves – the flowers and foliage are wonderfully different. An elegant tiered cake with gold accents captures the autumn vibe of the day – as do the fabulous images by lovely Jessica Grace Photography, who gets a fantastic review from our happy couple Laurie & Anoushka!
Getting engaged is a beautiful thing. The romance, the excitement. The questions!
Most couples I have spoken to about planning a wedding always say that as soon as you’re engaged the questions start coming thick and fast. Where are you getting hitched? Are you going to have a wedding band? Do you know what colour scheme you are going for? Ever thought about making your own wedding favours? I am going to stop now because the list could go on.
Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m surrounded by calligraphy pens and inks today as I get ready for another modern calligraphy class on Friday – but I just had to take a little breather and dive into some wedding loveliness with you this lunchtime. Now I very often talk about English Wedding as a joint effort: it’s not just me here, it’s all of the fabulous creatives whose photos and products you see on these pages that make up English Wedding. And today I’m introducing one of those lovely humans whose gorgeous images make English-Wedding.com such a beautiful place to be.
The English Wedding Directory is where you can find all of our favourite wedding suppliers. Our Facebook page is updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists, cake designers… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!
These lovely people have joined the English Wedding Directory in the last couple of weeks – and we have more coming up to share with you soon! Do take a moment to discover them, and if you like what you see why not get in touch and even book this week?
Beautiful bride Hana married Alex at Gate Street Barn on the scorching bank holiday last August. Despite the drama of a street fair trying to stop the bride’s car getting to the church (something that could only happen in the Surrey countryside!) the day was filled with so many laughs and so much love. With a gorgeous summer evening sunset, and the bride and groom recreating the iconic Dirty Dancing routine as their first dance, it is safe to day that they had the time of their lives!
