Happy Sunday, beautiful! How’s your weekend going? I forgot to tell you – we spent last night at The Wordsworth in Grasmere, a gorgeous spot for a wedding – so waking up this morning was absolute bliss! I’ll tell you all about it later in the week 🙂 For today though, something VERY special. We’ve been chatting to the wedding & events team at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford recently – it’s a breathtaking and wonderfully unique wedding venue with a stunning balance of contemporary architecture and historic backdrops – half a million years of art and history, to be precise! Today we’re sharing a bridal photoshoot at the Ashmolean, so you can see the place for yourselves… isn’t it incredible?!

So today is officially my last day of work this week… we’re treating ourselves to a very long weekend of music and dancing our heads off, plus a little Christmas shopping too. Of course English Wedding will still have fabulous features coming your way: we’ve a wedding dress showcase tomorrow and then 3 gorgeous real weddings to share with you – all very different, and from Devon, Essex and London. I can’t wait to see them live on the blog! Today though, join me and my lovely friend Carol Elizabeth Photography for a virtual tour around one of Oxford’s most exciting wedding venues – the Ashmolean Museum. Carol is an English Wedding team member and visited the Ashmolean on our behalf earlier in the autumn when they held an open evening. She took her camera and captured a few images from the event – and she’s shared some fabulous pics from a beautiful real wedding at the Ashmolean too!

This morning lovely blog readers I have the prettiest real wedding for you – a gorgeous bride and groom and one of England’s most stunning venues – Hampton Court. You’ll adore this! Beautiful bride Joanne told me all about their day (don’t miss the full English Wedding Blog interview at the bottom of the post!)

“Our wedding style was a mixed bag – but oh so personal – and everyone commented on the personal touches. We used spring time blooms – lots of pastels and soft pinks and blush mixed with lime green to signify the start of spring and the start of a new adventure for Archie and I.
