Regular readers will know stationery is close to my heart! As a calligrapher I’ve worked with some of the very best from Cutture to Print for Love – and one of the loveliest things about writing the English Wedding Blog is discovering new stationery designers and online wedding invitation boutiques.

I’m also a huge supporter of independent and local businesses, so I’m delighted to bring you my top picks of wedding stationery designers to watch (and buy from!) in 2018. In no particular order….

Soooo… wedding dress shopping. Have you begun? Are you on the ideas trail, glued to Pinterest and swooning over wedding mags and beautiful editorial shoots? If there’s one thing I’d love the English Wedding Blog to be, it’s a hub for discovering UK designers to fall in love with. Emma Victoria Payne is one of my favourite couture dress designers, whose collection for 2018 is simply breathtaking.

2018 wedding dresses by UK designer Emma Victoria Payne (4)

This year Emma Victoria Payne has relocated to a beautiful new boutique at 6 Park Walk which is fantastic! “We really love our new boutique, it is such a wonderful space to work in! We have so many ideas for the window displays!”

Today’s shoot blows my mind, it’s so beautiful! Kirsty’s fabulous blue hair is only the beginning: the dress is insanely beautiful, the owl is the cutest thing ever, and the dripping candles and creative tablescapes tie the alternative fairytale styling (because yes, that’s a thing now!) together perfectly. Huge thanks to lovely Andreea at Vevi Photography for sharing this with us today. Lovelies, you’re going to need your Pinterest fingers!

We wanted to create a fairytale feel for our alternative wedding shoot combining the woodland rustic wedding styling with touches of more luxurious items like gold rimmed plates, some exotic flowers and gold painted apples.

Hey lovelies! I’m so happy to be sharing such beautiful inspiration with you this week – I like to think I save the best until last and this year we’re celebrating December in style!! Today’s wedding combines historic elegance with lots of fun touches and a secret theme of Jane Austen – gorgeous bride and groom Bex and John had Jane Austen photo props and did their first dance as the dance from the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice!! How awesome is that? Images are by our lovely friend and sponsor Ayshea Goldberg Photography, who gets the loveliest review from the happy couple (just a couple of paragraphs on…)

Today’s wedding is pretty special, and all kinds of glamorous and elegant with a modern twist. Between Christmas and New Year is one of the loveliest times to get married – it’s a time of year when family is close to all our hearts, and that for me makes a wedding even more special.

I love the sparkling metallics dotted through Danielle and Martin’s day, the luxe fabrics and feathers, the candles and soft floral styling. It all comes together perfectly to create a decadent art deco look – and the opulent touches are perfect for the time of year!
