How was your bank holiday weekend? Ours was AMAZING – we walked for 9 hours across the Lake District mountains – so today is a slow one while I recover! Many of you will have spotted changes in The English Wedding Directory as we add and update our brilliant wedding vendors. Our Insta and Facebook are updated with new vendors when they join us, and the Directory is full of brilliant photographers, stationers, florists, stylists… everything you might need for the wedding of your dreams!
I can almost smell the flowers… because today we have the loveliest, summeriest wedding of all for you to enjoy. Gorgeous couple Jo and Jack married in Cheltenham on a beautiful early summer’s day. Their barn wedding celebration is just divine: the florals are so vibrant and wonderfully colourful they almost steal the show.
Images are by our lovely and talented friend Hannah K Photography, who is based in Warwickshire and travels around the UK to shoot beautiful weddings in her natural and romantic storytelling style. I hope you love them as much as we do! Have the most wonderful Bank Holiday everyone – I’ll hand over to Hannah to tell you more about this fabulously pretty wedding day.
We have been SO excited to share this beautiful May wedding with you. It’s quintessentially English with the most wonderful florals, superb styling and a fabulous venue in North Yorkshire. Bride Lizzie looks incredible in a Maggie Sottero dress with such a pretty and unusual neckline – I absolutely love it. And Rick’s bespoke suit is just superb – he looks amazing and we love his look!
Images are by lovely Lissa Alexandra Photography. Lissa is based in Yorkshire and has the prettiest natural photography style, capturing beautiful moments and memories which tell the story of Lizzie and Rick’s day just perfectly.
A black tie wedding… the most amazing boho dress covered in delicate sparkles… and more fun and laughter and PARTYING than you’d think you could fit into one day. This wedding – as they always are when our friends and sponsors at York Place Studios are involved – is an absolute blast of beautiful and playful, and I LOVE it.
The Normans venue is a charming, rustic space on a working farm just outside York. Covered in twinkling fairy lights, it’s welcoming and picture perfect inside and out. The courtyard is wonderful on a sunny day, and as evening sets guests can relax in the cow shed (snug) or grain shed (ultimate party space!) – take a look at http://thenormansweddings.co.uk
I’ve lost count of the number of friends I’ve told about this wedding – because there was one very special moment during the ceremony which I absolutely love. Dave and Niamh are definitely independent spirits who didn’t follow any boring old wedding traditions just for the sake of it. They had a fun, relaxed day full of laughter – and their beautiful images capture the spirit of their celebrations perfectly.
