Sand dunes and a crowd-surfing bride! Dave & Niamh’s Barn on the Bay wedding
I’ve lost count of the number of friends I’ve told about this wedding – because there was one very special moment during the ceremony which I absolutely love. Dave and Niamh are definitely independent spirits who didn’t follow any boring old wedding traditions just for the sake of it. They had a fun, relaxed day full of laughter – and their beautiful images capture the spirit of their celebrations perfectly.
But the moment I love most of all is one I read about in the blog of their wedding as featured on Forget me Knot Images website. You see, they hadn’t decided if Niamh would take Dave’s surname after the wedding… or perhaps he’d take hers. Instead, and to add a little extra excitement to the ceremony, they tossed a coin to decide, right there in front of all of their guests! I LOVE this! So Dave now has Niamh’s surname and the gorgeous couple are living happily ever after!
There are of course some STUNNING pictures on today’s wedding blog, and I think they speak for themselves, from the fabulous morning preparations to the ceremony and then – as it stopped raining – a few unmissable moments on the beach as the sun set on their best day ever.
Images are by lovely Lindsey at Forget Me Knot Images, based in Newcastle. The venue is The Barn on the Bay, Northumberland.
