Tucked away on the edge of the beautiful village of Cranborne in Dorset, set back far enough from the road that it becomes a treasure, a beguiling location, is 10 Castle Street. The name is wonderfully deceiving – while there’s definitely a Castle Street running through the village, and the venue’s driveway leads from it, this is no run-of-the-mill residence. Number 10 Castle Street is a fabulously quirky and charismatic wedding venue, available for wedding hire and perfectly suited to an eclectic, elegant modern wedding.

Hey gorgeous! Pop your sunglasses on – it’s about to get awfully bright in here!

Today’s wedding inspiration could have turned out very differently. It’s the first shoot Rachel from Rose Petals Vintage has created, and we love the vibrant colours – but that wasn’t the plan to begin with! It all began with one word: vintage. But that’s not so easy to define!

Approach any wedding creative with an idea for dramatic and beautiful styling, and they’ll be your best friend forever. There’s something especially exciting about working with darker colour palettes, dramatic contrasts and an alternative wedding look which we all love. I was thrilled to be asked to create stationery for this breathtaking styled bridal shoot with Jo Bradbury Photography last year. It’s one of my favourite collaborations of all time and I’m so excited to be sharing it with you today! Jo has an artfulness to her photography which I absolutely adore. We’ve featured her beautiful weddings on the blog before – she works across the north west, photographing dreamy celebrations in a romantic editorial style.

Happy Wednesday my lovelies!! Would you like to join me in reminiscing over the stunningly sunny summer we had this year? Today I’m sharing a beautiful styled shoot that local suppliers to The Secret River Garden in Twickenham created in the summer months. The shoot is based on a DIY location (and the Secret River Garden is just perfect for this!) to show what a bride and groom who are looking to create an outdoor wedding in a stunning garden setting can do!

Two words I’ve been hearing quite often as we approach 2019 are ‘heirloom’ and ‘heritage’ – brides and grooms are looking more to our culture and history than ever before, for inspiration for wedding styling. ‘Vintage’ as a source of wedding ideas is still hugely popular, with couples now looking for venues with their own character and unique history. So this inspirational feature from Doxford Hall has to be one of my favourite shoots of ALL TIME! It’s a perfect fit for English Wedding too of course, with a nod to Jane Austen and such delightful styling touches! The calligraphy is mine – I’m so proud to have been a part of such a beautiful photoshoot (and my paper goodies get to visit such wonderful places!)
