Sometimes you’ve just gotta go unashamedly pink. Girly, super pretty and all-out glamorous makes for one hell of a blog feature, and Lucinda and Alex’s wedding is all of the above and more. Theirs is a wonderfully glamorous wedding and I love the pinks and details – and the blossom is fabulous! Springtime is well and truly here today!

Lucinda’s top advice for other couples is fab: “Make sure you enjoy your whole day and take a minute every now and then to sit back and look at how much everyone is enjoying themselves, try and take mental images! And failing that, make sure you get a fantastic photographer to capture those moments for you, it’s worth it!”

I LOVE these two! Tammy & Andy – you. are. awesome! From the very first photo of your day I found myself smiling right back at my screen… there is no one in the world more beautiful than a blissfully happy bride and groom. Today we have a London wedding in glorious sunshine with the most amazing bouquet and florals in deliciously decadent purples and blues by Floriography Cornwall.

I get the impression Tammy & Andy smile a LOT. Their reaction to seeing their wedding photos for the first time:

We were both smiling from ear to ear – which is exactly what we wanted. Neil had taken the time to set some of the shots in a slideshow to some music – I think it is fair to say, that when that slideshow finished, everyone who has seen it has said, “wow!”. There are some great memories captured there forever, and our guests all look brilliant. I still grin each time I seem them.”

I look at my cherry tree every day to see if the buds are getting any closer to flowering… I just love springtime and all the beauty that comes with it. So today – a treat. A glorious spring wedding. A blast of cherry blossom so candy-flossily pink you could just dive in. A stunning bride and groom and a super location for country-loving couples. You’re welcome!

As ever, I can’t take any credit for the beautiful photos I’m about to share. They’re by lovely London wedding photographer Fiona Kelly, who told me Victoria had worked really hard to put together such a beautiful wedding. “She had done all the planning on her own and created so many wonderful little touches and ideas that made their day very special and very personal to the two of them… Victoria and Haydn are the loveliest people and so perfect for each other. It was a complete pleasure and privilege to photograph their wedding”

The best thing about being married? “Knowing that whatever life throws at you, you have someone who loves you by your side throughout it all.” ~ Laura

Lake District wedding with Kathryn White Photography (16)

It’s fab to see an Easter wedding at this time of year – Laura & Jonathan’s day is so full of spring, just seeing the photos makes me happy! The images are gorgeous, the details are perfect, the setting is fabulous and of course the bride and groom are stunning.

“The fact that it was Easter weekend gave a subtle theme with chocolate rabbits as favours and napkins folded into bunnies (by the clever wedding coordinator Michelle at the Rampsbeck) but without overdoing it. The whole day was very relaxed and chilled out, the sort of wedding where I felt more like a guest among Laura & Jonathan’s lovely friends & family than a vendor.

Little gold eggs at every place setting… personal egg cup place names, the most beautiful flowers with pale pink and pastel blooms… it can only be an Easter wedding, and this is the loveliest I’ve ever seen! Today’s wedding blog is an early treat for all of you Easter brides and grooms – you’re going to LOVE this!

Rebecca married Adam last Easter at Elmore Court. Their day is wonderful – they’re such a gorgeous couple and the photos of their wedding are just divine. Even the tiniest details are so carefully curated… “The ‘big’ things such as florist, hair and make up etc came by recommendation but for the smaller things I developed an obsession with wedding magazines, which I loved looking through for inspiration, as well as wedding blogs and there was definitely a lot of pinterest boards being created. I fell in love with Etsy and being able to talk to the suppliers and request personalised items worked really well for us. A lot of our extras came from there.”

Lottie and Richard’s has to be one of the coolest, brightest, most exciting DIY weddings I’ve ever published – truly, they used ALL the colours… and it looks amazing. They’re a gorgeous couple, their images are superb, and something tells me you’re going to adore their wedding as much as I do!

There was plenty of DIY involved in the run up to the day, and Lottie told me “This was by far the main focus of our wedding preparation. I love arts and crafts.” Some of those makes include 500 origami birds, “which was a challenge!” and a 200-strong multi-coloured paper lantern display in the centre of the marquee.

I can’t show you the wedding without first mentioning the gloriously colourful flowers – they’re just wonderful! Lottie told me “Roseanne’s Florist in Malvern did a fantastic job–they made beautiful multi-coloured arrangements in mixed vases and jam jars. I specifically said there were no rules on colours or flowers, and the result was incredible. It made you smile.”Claire

Love and luxe wedding style at The Vermont Hotel in Newcastle – today I have an ultra glam wedding to share with you all. Caroline & Mark’s big day is a classic celebration with chic styling touches to suit the art deco theme of their city venue.

Mixing traditional elements with modern styling can work beautifully – and an expensive wedding look doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Caroline’s florist teamed mercury glass with simple blooms for the tables, which complemented just a few more elaborate displays from the ceremony room.

Stationery was kept very simple and elegant: place settings are small and sweet while printed menus are tall and minimalist in style. Each table was named after a Hollywood star: Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and Judy Garland smile from chic frames on each table.

The overall look of the day is luxe and classic. If you fall for a venue – whatever your style may be – then use it to inspire your day. Caroline and Mark did, and it worked so beautifully!

Today’s real wedding is divine: a sophisticated celebration with such amazing attention to detail and almost too pretty for words. Doug and Kath were married in May, at Herefordshire venue How Caple Court. Their theme was vintage lace: the colours were soft and delicate lavenders – “dried lavender was scattered over the church porch floor, which when guests walked over, emitted a wonderful fragrance”.

Kath told me, “I say to all my friends and family that the photographer is the most important thing to splurge on. It’s the only thing you can look at after the day, and will be proof of all the memories.  We are so glad we invested in Gemma.”

There is so much to share with you, I barely know where to start. Grab a cuppa and settle down to absorb all the pretty in today’s real wedding – and then read Kath’s fabulous advice at the end of the feature. This is an amazing wedding whose story begins the day before, setting up the venue with family and friends… and ends with sewing up an enthusiastic dancing rugby player’s trousers at 3am in the pub afterwards – it’s brilliant!

I love a wedding with something a little different… and so often it’s the venue which make a celebration stand out from the crowd. Kelsie Low is a creative wedding photographer – she used the tennis courts at Frinton Lawn Tennis Club for some images which will be lifelong memories for today’s bride and groom, the gorgeous Kelly and James.

Kelsie told me the ceremony took place at Saint Michael’s Parish Church in Thorpe-le-Soken and the reception at Frinton Lawn Tennis Club in Frinton-On-Sea. “The reception venue was decorated from top to bottom with charming little touches; bunting, floral glass centre pieces, movie-themed table names and even a light-up cake stand! The tennis courts were a really unique feature to have at a wedding venue and boy, did we make the most of them!”

“The morning of a Bride’s wedding is a lot busier than you may imagine it to be, a lot of hard work goes into ensuring that the bride feels beautiful on her wedding day, and with Hayley Loader of Ultra Violet on hair and Hayley Dauder of Timeless Beauty on makeup, Kelly really did look stunning.”

Sometimes you see an image which stays in your mind for the whole day. I get it all the time – looking at the fabulous yellow flowers from today’s real wedding I find myself feeling as though summer has barely begun! (Can you believe it’s November already?!)

Today’s gorgeous bride Rebecca told me she LOVED having the opportunity for photos with her ponies… so let’s begin with one of those, shall we? This is the perfect introduction to a gorgeous Lake District wedding with a real countryside atmosphere and pretty homemade styling.

Luke and Rebecca are today’s fabulous couple, who married in May at Lowick Green. Many of their suppliers are local; ideas came from Rebecca’s love of Pinterest and so many of the details were a labour of love with special help from both mums!

I asked Rebecca what she feels is the best thing about being married, and she told me “Just being together, it’s such a lovely comfortable, blissful feeling“. How beautiful is that?

Later today we’re heading for the wedding tent at Kirstie Allsopp’s second Handmade Fair – and we’re ridiculously excited about the whole thing! Before we go, I have a superb wedding to share with you all. You’ll LOVE this! We’re talking English sophistication, classy styling and elegant touches in a magnificent venue: Pendrell Hall. The bride is beautiful; the entire day just makes me feel happy.

Tim and Nerissa give a glowing review for their photographers Rob & Sarah Gillespie. It’s interesting to hear how a husband and wife photography team can bring so much to your wedding: for today’s bride and groom this was one of the (many!) reasons they chose Rob and Sarah as their wedding photographers. “Due to their vast wedding experience they were able to help and advise us as to what photos worked well and the timings for the day which really helped. We would highly recommend Rob and Sarah!
