Happy Monday lovelies! How was your weekend? We were at a wedding in beautiful Derbyshire, so I’m still over the moon feeling happy for my amazing friend Beth and new hubby Peter – we had the absolute best weekend ever. So I was so excited to stay in the wedding mood and share another gorgeous day with you all today – we’re sharing gorgeous bride and groom Amy and Chris’s wedding all the way from sunny Devon, with our friends Devon wedding photographers Howell Jones Photography behind the camera lens!
Colour makes me happy – and colourful, cheerful, vibrant weddings make me the happiest wedding blogger in the world! Today we’re sharing Charlie and Harry’s wedding at Eversholt Hall. Their day had a boho feel to it, with gorgeous bride Charlie in a flower crown of pink and ivory blooms with berries, and Harry looking relaxed and summery in a smart blue suit with white tie (a look I’m kind of loving right now!). Do you celebrate Halloween? Here at English Wedding HQ I love the old belief in fairies and spirits – it’s said they can reach us more easily tonight than at any other time in the year… so I see it as a time to pray for loved ones lost; to celebrate their lives and look back on precious times and memories shared. It’s also a lovely opportunity to cook pumpkin stuff – I actually spent a few happy moments writing on a little pumpkin in my calligraphy class the other week! Anyway – before I begin today’s blog post I have a request for wedding stylists and photographers – I would love to feature this year’s Halloween weddings on the blog this time next year. If you’re styling or shooting a wedding today, please consider submitting it for publication on English Wedding next year. We don’t need ghosts and goths (although, that would be pretty awesome!) – I’m looking for weddings with orange, autumnal or pumpkin styling ideas to inspire our readers. Thank you!
Happy Friday folks! Do you have plans for the weekend? We’re off on adventures and I’m desperately hoping my back will hold out… turns out blogging is not the best for posture! I’m all achy and rattling full of ibuprofen this morning, yikes! But still… I can’t keep away from my desk as this gorgeous summer wedding is lightening my heart today. Beautiful bride Heather married Houw at Shustoke Barn on a sunny June day – their wedding is perfect for summer and I LOVE how full of colour the images are.
The title for today’s real wedding on the blog is thoroughly deserved. Breathtaking – in that the florals literally stopped me in my tracks, they’re so beautifully chosen and arranged by bride Donna. She has a wonderful instinct and talent with flowers – so get those Pinterest boards ready, because the vibrant blooms in today’s wedding are about to blow your mind!
Donna is beautiful and then some. With Nick by her side she’s absolutely radiant: they make the loveliest couple – they spent their wedding day smiling and their photos throughout the day are just divine, with some stunning shots over the Welsh hills.
