Did I ever tell you how incredibly lucky I feel to do this for a living? Writing about gorgeous weddings, scrolling through eye-dazzling images of love and joy all day long? It’s a pretty special way to spend the days, and I’m feeling incredibly blessed this week with such dreamy content to share with you! Today’s couple are stunning Phoebe & Ed, who married at Childerley Hall in Cambridge and chose our friend and top UK wedding photographer Richard Skins to capture their day. Phoebe’s dress is just….. ahhh I don’t even have words: it’s more beautiful than beautiful has ever been before!

I couldn’t be happier with this week’s AMAZING weddings! Following yesterday’s stunning and colourful florals, today we’re going all white with the blooms, and including oodles of wonderful foliage – oh, and of COURSE we have the most insanely gorgeous couple: Joshua and Rebecca are just fabulous! That dress though…

So how’s that first day back at work going?! For me it’s a good one – I’ve packed and posted seven calligraphy orders already, my desk is almost clear – and I only have 70 or so emails in my inbox to reply to! [wedding photographers and suppliers – Our tier 1 & 2 advertising packages are HALF PRICE in January if you’re looking to get noticed on here! Oh, and before I forget (haha)… I have the LOVELIEST real wedding to kick off our 2020!

Don’t wear a wedding dress. ~ controversial advice maybe, but one of my favourite bits of advice from one of the very best couples we’ve featured on English Wedding in the last year. I love Anna & Ollie because they were brave enough to challenge the normal ‘rules’ of weddings. And rule #1 – if you’re to believe the wedding media – is that you have to wear a wedding dress!

Jenny and Ben’s August wedding is instantly a favourite for me – they’re the loveliest, sweetest couple and their day just rocks my wedding bloggy WORLD!! There are some wonderful ideas I just know you’ll love – aside from the hundreds of pom poms, there’s a mobile gin factory on a VW camper van with jars of spices and copper pots to make your very own wedding gin right there on the day – genius. There are sunflowers and pinwheels in a rainbow of colours, along with fairy lights everywhere, and fabulous vintage style tea length dresses, and GLORIOUS florals – it’s just everything. Jenny looks stunning in her Brighton Belle dress. Ben’s relaxed look gets a huge YES from me: suits are not obligatory for weddings, guys! He looks fab – and more than anything, the happiness between these two is infectious. They describe their day as “a colourful rustic, vintage, craft collaboration with a gin twist!”
