Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your life and of course you want to have your nearest and dearest there to celebrate it with. However, if you’re an animal lover you may well be closer to your pet than some of your relatives! The opportunity therefore to include these four legged friends in some aspect of the wedding day has been managed by those keen (or mad) enough to bring them along!

We began to unplug about 5 years ago, when the novelty of aunties having camera phones became a really big deal at weddings. Rather than seeing rows of happy faces, brides began to see rows of iphones (flash on) hiding faces as they walked down the aisle. Distracting, much? And those who thought about it in advance would make or hire little signs telling the aunties their wedding was Unplugged – and to kindly stop taking photos of all the best bits.

What’s more important to you right now: the outside of your wedding dress, or the inside?

Whether you’re a perfectly proportioned beauty or a curvy girl like me, your wedding dress has a very important job to do – it has to make you look your best all through your wedding day. Maybe that’s showing off all your best bits, perhaps it’s hiding some little insecurities. And yes, fabric and embellishments and finish and straps and sparkly bits are what we fall in love with when it comes to wedding dresses. But there’s more. And it’s what’s inside a dress that will make you feel amazing on your wedding day.

So you’re marrying your best human friend, but you really don’t want to leave your other best friend out of the celebrations. As an animal lover, I totally get it: dogs are a huge part of our lives and if they’ll enjoy the attention I think they’re the sweetest addition to a wedding day! Your photos will be adorable, you can dress them up a little… and I couldn’t resist these super cute pics from Oobaloos Photography at The Barn At Upcote for the blog today!

So, you’ve booked your dream venue and secured your wedding date in the diary – yay! What’s next?

Things can be complicated when booking a wedding photographer – firstly there are so many about! First and foremost I think it’s really important to choose someone whose work speaks to you and transports you to a moment, and that you get on with them on a personal level.

Once you’ve found your photographer, some will have various packages and extras that you can book to create your perfect wedding photography package. Today I wanted to talk about second photographers.
