How did you choose your photographer?

We chose Hannah from a recommendation from a friend. After having our wedding postponed twice due to Covid, lockdown lifted and we had a week to finalise all the details! Thankfully at very short notice Hannah fitted us into her bookings.

Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!

YES!! To say we never actually met before the wedding, we didn’t have a chance to really go through the style or shots we wanted to create – she captured every moment perfectly. We couldn’t believe how well she captured our personalities in the shots without really knowing either of us!

How did the pandemic affect your wedding plans? Do you have any advice to share with couples planning their weddings right now?

We had initially planned to have a small registry office ceremony and then a larger outdoor ceremony surrounded by friends and family later that day. Unfortunately due to covid we had to cancel our day, we rescheduled for September but then decided to postpone to 2021 due to how the covid situation was. We decided to go ahead with the small ceremony this year – because at the end of the day, getting married was the main part! We have decided to have a larger celebration next year for our first wedding anniversary (any excuse for Amy to buy a second dress). In these strange times just remember the main reason behind everything, and thats because you want to get married – don’t get too hung up on the restrictions because you can always celebrate these at a later date. I’m still waiting for that first dance!

Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?

As we only had a week to finalise our wedding we chose to have a small ceremony at our local registry office. It was super small, so small there was only 10 of us allowed in the room!

Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?

We both actually purchased our outfits over a year before the big day – thanks to covid they sat hidden away for a wee while. Thankfully Amy’s dress still fitted (with a little help from a friend to get that zip up) & Luke and Casey’s suits were perfect!

As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?

We actually had a close family friend make our cake and she did an absolutely incredible job!! Luke prefers a classic Victoria sponge, whereas Amy is more of a chocolate fan. So she made a two tier cake with each flavour and they blended beautifully! Thank you Becky!!
