From Norfolk With Love! A look back at 2020 by Neil Senior Photography
The varied landscapes of Norfolk lend themselves to breathtaking photography, not forgetting a host of magical Norfolk wedding venues to host your celebration! When it comes to wonderful locations for engagement photoshoots Norfolk is second to none, from the coastal paths and beaches to the woodlands of Holkham and the Sandringham estate. Or maybe a bustling Norwich cityscape is more you? How about a visit to the pier at Cromer complete with ice cream, or a riverside walk at dusk on the Norfolk broads, to a sunset visit to the iconic cliffs at Hunstanton?
Despite the challenges the wedding industry has faced during the past 12 months it has been a positive and productive time here at Neil Senior Photography HQ. A highlight is definitely the host of creative Norfolk wedding suppliers I have the pleasure to work with and meet. I’ve remained proactive by photographing local wedding inspired photoshoots, engagement shoots and amazing micro weddings as restrictions eased at a wide variety of beautiful venues across Norfolk. Some favourites include rural Piggyback Barns near Fakenham and a Tipi inspired shoot at Hill Farm near Massingham. Both of these venues have their weddings planned and organised by a fabulous team at Mason Great Event Co. who offer wedding & event planning services to couples throughout Norfolk.
I also had the pleasure of arranging a boho wedding photo shoot with the very talented Vintage Silk and awesome Tiffany from Tatty’s Original Bespoke Bridal Wear. This all happened at the award winning Chaucer Barn near Holt.
Just a little way along the coast I worked with Briarfields Hotel near Titchwell on an English Rose inspired shoot – starring local legend Jack Brock The Confetti Pony.
My final shoot of the year was planned and organised by my wife Natalie and Waxham’s amazing events manager Monica at the historic Waxham Great Barn near Sea Palling. We involved a range of local suppliers in an effort to support the Norfolk Historic Building Trust who run weddings at the barn. This shoot was inspired by a green & white colour palette with accents of gold and involved a full wedding set up throughout the barn.
I had the pleasure of working with Epic Events, Gas and Air Studios, Smoke and Wildwood, Silverline Limousines, Funnells Kitchen, Tatty’s Original and Partridge and Peony to name a few of the awesome Norfolk wedding suppliers involved.
More information on the photoshoots, engagements, micro weddings, suppliers and venues I’ve mentioned can be found direct on my website blog https://neilseniorphotography.co.uk/
Norfolk captures your imagination. I love these shoots, they are a great icebreaker for my couples and me, they are a unique opportunity to capture the sense of joy and excitement before your wedding. They offer you both an important break from wedding planning too. You take away some awesome photos and more importantly feel more relaxed in the lead up to your wedding day.
As an experienced photographer, I also organise my time working on post production, updating my website, social media, photoshoots, charitable events, blogging, staying in close contact with couples, answering emails and the occasional wedding fair at weekends. As nature is so close to my heart I am also a supporter of the fantastic charity Rewilding Britain and also offset my carbon footprint.
