Eco friendly beach wedding inspiration, with Amethyst Weddings
I went paddling on our beach twice in November… sand and sea are a huge part of my life. So this beach inspired shoot with lovely Sian from Amethyst Weddings is a special one for me. Sian’s focus on ethical wedding planning and styling is ever so important, and here she shows how beautiful an eco friendly beach wedding can be! The little details are stunning with starfish charms, a geode cake and bright sand ceremony making this a unique and enchanting eco wedding style. I hope you love it as much as I do! I’ll leave you with Sian to explain how she created this look with a brilliant team of Hampshire wedding suppliers.

I wanted to create an eco friendly shoot with a touch of luxury and elegance that would inspire and encourage engaged couples to create their own plastic free wedding day.
My first thought was using the beach as inspiration. It started with a wispy pale blue cheesecloth and then I became inspired by the colour palette of sea glass that is so abundant on our local beaches. Our cake maker used sugar crystals in the sea glass palette on our geode style cake. The paper flower centrepiece also doubled up as a bouquet. Nothing on the table scape was thrown away, similar glassware and cutlery can be hired from local companies. The stationery was made of wildflower seed paper which can be planted in the garden, so again no waste.
Local dress designer David Western stepped in at short notice with a selection of his bespoke gowns. All of David’s dresses are individually made by his own hand in his boutique in Southsea, Portsmouth.
Due to the COVID regulations in place we decided to use a real couple for the celebrant led sand ceremony. They wore their outfits from their own wedding and the whole family came along to take part.
Even Kaz’s dog Ozzie got in on the beach action.
