Tim & Emily’s rustic and pretty Bolton Abbey wedding, with M and G Photography
Welcome to the weekend, lovelies. This is one for snuggling together, taking some time for self care and a little autumn nesting – we’re sending hugs to all of you after this week’s announcements. And to bring a little beauty and extra warmth into your day we have this fabulous pre-lockdown wedding to share with you. Tim & Emily’s day is blissfully beautiful, with rich winter styling touches and the most wonderful elegance and style. These two made a conscious choice to support local businesses, and right now that’s so important: if you’re planning your wedding for 2021 please look for suppliers local to you – it means the world to us!

How did you choose your photographer?
Online research! We loved the natural approach and warm tones throughout the images. M&G offered a wonderful package that suited us perfectly.
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
We are over the moon with our photographer. We didn’t even know they were there on the day! They blended into the day perfectly and still managed to produce such amazing, emotional images that we can keep forever.
Videographer details if applicable – and any thoughts for other couples about having a wedding video?
Our videographer Jordan Lee was incredible. We’d 100% recommend a videographer as stories and photos are only so many memories but being able to relive the day through video is another emotional record of the day! We have been blessed with stunning and beautiful memories.
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
The Tithe Barn at Bolton Abbey is a dream! The venue is a breathtaking barn renovation, stunning natural scenes, and warm happy atmosphere inside. Bolton Abbey is a location that we can visit as often as we please living so close. We chose the location because of all the above but it also hold a lot of happy family memories for us both growing up in the local area. We couldn’t of asked for anything more. Perfection
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
I would wear my dress every day if I could! I was the emotional bride in the shop at every appointment! It literally took my breath away. And they effort the whole shop went to. I felt so special throughout the whole process. Tim loves his suits and so did the groomsmen! And again when I saw him it made me very emotional, so proud to of been marrying him! (Now married!) The guys all plan to wear them to the races next summer!!!
We got both my dress and gents suits from Ava Rose in Silden/Colne
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
Our florist was The Plantation in Addingham. Again local supplier to us. We are big on supporting local businesses. I loved my flowers, that much that I have had the preserved for my wedding feature was at home. I have also started to collect the plants to grown each flower or foliage at home so we can be surrounded by them all the time!
Did you hire a wedding planner?
I planned the wedding completely from start to finish myself! I enlisted some family members and the groom to help for some bits! Its was also made a lot easier by having such helpful and lovely vendors. I never had a doubt for the day! It went perfectly! I want to do it all again and again!
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
Our cake was delicious! We are still finishing off the last few finger slices! We sourced it locally! All the Kings Cakes in addingham. It looked stunning and tasted delicious. For every birthday or event from now on that requires a cake I will get a remake of our wedding cake every time! Yum!
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
My dads speech was unbelievably emotional. He had planned a lovely surprise for the ending of his speech. We have a father daughter dance followed by a dance with my groom to lead us into the grooms and best man speeches. The entire day with filled with love and emotion we couldn’t of asked for anything more.
Did you personalise your vows or have any wedding readings? What were they?
We chose registrars vows however we did add our own phrase that we say to each other and always have to the end. It finished odd the vows perfectly. ‘And Then Some’
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
Our first dance song was John Legend – All of me. Every word rang true for us. We each love the song and it was the only one that suited us. We tried to listen to others but we just knew that was it!
