Since lockdown began, I’ve been constantly surprised and uplifted by the resilience of the wedding industry. As so many of you lovely couples have had to postpone, suppliers have been working hard to support your new plans, to juggle availability for 2021 bookings… and all the time facing genuine hardships (because for so many of these indie businesses, this is their livelihoods). So when a photoshoot like this one lands in my inbox it brightens my heart and reassures me: we’ll come back. We can do this. There’s a future for those fiercely creative talents working to make your weddings amazing, and a positive future shining on the horizon.

Today’s photoshoot took place when a wedding showcase couldn’t happen… and these amazing suppliers kept the day alive in their inspiring way. It’s wonderful – I hope you love the images. Thank you especially to Sally Rawlins Photography and to Louisa May Weddings, who’ll explain more.

The ‘Spring Edition’ Wedding Showcase at The Tudor Barn Belstead was unfortunately postponed due to Covid- 19. After speaking to all the suppliers who were meant to be involved over the weekend, I soon realised that there was an opportunity to turn a negative situation into a positive. The florist had fresh centrepieces & bouquets all made up and it seemed such a shame for these beautiful flowers to be wasted. So, lightbulb moment happened! Let’s do a styled shoot instead with a handful of the venue’s recommended suppliers!

I wanted to create something simple, meaningful, beautiful and elegant all within a rustic setting. Utilising the stunning venue and its surroundings to demonstrate the diversity of themes and colours to create the ‘wow’ factor that every couple wants on their wedding day.

From the country style hessian table cloths with blush pink table runners and napkins, to the elegant hand tied luxurious green and white bouquet. This shoot has an abundance of happiness and joy. I hope it brings inspiration to couples looking for ideas for their perfect wedding.
