Modern Elegance with vibrant florals and moody blues

Published by Claire Gould on

Well good morning, beautiful! I have a stunning wedding inspiration photoshoot to share with you today. This will appeal to those of you who aren’t so fussed on pretty pastels and are looking for a bolder, more dramatic and impactful statement. Here’s one STUNNING way to make your wedding stand out from the crowd. Huge thanks to lovely wedding stylist Nonie Leonard for sharing this glorious shoot with us! I’ll leave Nonie to tell you all about it.

With love,

The style and concept was brought together, by a bride’s take on bringing modern elegance to a rustic venue. Lillibrooke Manor is beautiful and surrounded by amazing grounds and scenery, perfect for an elegant wedding whilst staying true to the style of the venue.

The concept for the colours was inspired by the boldness of two strong colours and how they would brighten up the room once put together. The colour palette chosen was Royal Blue and a bright Fuschia Pink with hints of gold as an accent colour to compliment. The main hall, has two sections which are perfect for any bride and groom as they offer amazing space for a small ceremony or a drinks reception room perfect for a winter wedding. For this room I envisioned it filled with flowers and lit up with wall lights to brighten the room and give guests a glimpse of what to expect when they enter the main wedding breakfast room.

For the main wedding breakfast room, I wanted to showcase its beautiful space with the glossy black floors. The concept for the table included a large floral centerpiece filled with fuschia pink roses as the focal point on entry so the guests can be wowed. Using Royal Blue as the base colour for the concept, this was closely incorporated on the wedding cake which also was a focal point and perfect as a conversation starter for the guests. The lighting in the room with the LOVE letters, the acrylic table plan and the light trees also added a modern twist to the concept and style.

For the brides dress, I opted for a modern A line dress with pockets which are a must for brides so they can keep their phones and lipstick to touch up during the day. To compliment the beautiful dress I chose understated natural makeup and low hair bun to show off the brides beauty and dress.

This all tied in together to create the Modern Elegance theme for the shoot and with the Pantone Colour of the Year Blue this is perfect inspiration for brides to be.
