Simple, beautiful and sustainable elopement ideas, from Thyme Lane Photography
When Noemi (Thyme Lane Photography) emailed me with this earthily beautiful elopement, she had my heart in a few words: “I just don’t think couples need to spend extreme amounts of money and stress a lot about their day, just have a few pretty details and love each other.”
Yes. That. Exactly that. We share every kind of wedding inspiration on blogs, from luxury weddings to intimate celebrations and elopements (and I’m on the lookout for a micro wedding!) but this – this is what makes me personally smile more than anything in the world. A personal celebration of love, a handful of STUNNING images, and some simple, ethical, wonderful details. It’s all you need. I will hand over to lovely Noemi to tell you more!
This shoot was intended to give couples inspiration who would like a quiet, intimate elopement with no pressure of a big day. It was all about feeling free and making your day completely your own. We focused on happiness, emotions, amazing light and beautiful but easily achievable details to any couples.
We also focused on leaving as little carbon footprint as possible, we used a lot of real vintage, recycled, handmade, sustainably foraged and compostable items, we tried to make use of what we already had available rather than buying new things.
It is a super low key shoot and we shot just outside the coupleâs house near Thetford forest. We used lots of deep, natural tones and textures and we got so so lucky with the weather and had the most amazing sunshine in the woodland!!
