Hannah & Zira’s summer farm wedding, with Absolute Photo UK

Published by Claire Gould on

Hannah and Zira’s wedding is sunny and joyful and beautiful. These two girls are amazing – Hannah is a pro rugby player and former England player, and Zira is a firefighter who also played for England women’s rugby. The weather was perfect and the images from around their venue (Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, Welwyn) are magical. The flowers just burst with summer… and with spring well on the way (I hope, right?!) this seems the perfect wedding to share with you lovely lot today.

I googled local photographers and we had an engagement shoot with our dog… Howard did a great job!

On the day of the wedding he was amazing, we barely noticed him and got some incredible shots!

3. What’s your top tip for saving money?

Do as much as you can yourself, our parents did a lot of the decorations, My Nan did the cake

4. … and which elements of your wedding are you glad you spent more on?

The dress definitely and the venue!

5. Did you fall in love with your wedding dress?

I loved it a lot more on the day, with hair, make up and accessories on it was amazing! I was boiling in it though! Zi had a lot of work done to hers and looked stunning.

We both wore dresses, we both chose them within 30 minutes of walking into the shop! We both wore white converse with purple and blue laces to match the theme.

7. Your wedding styling – did your venue need much decoration?

We went for a purple and blue theme

9. The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?

3 tiers, carrott cake (Zi’s favourite) Red velvet (my favourite) and raspberry ripple (a posh victoria sponge that everyone would like)

10. Words of wisdom: share your best piece of advice for other couples –

Do a shot with as many guests as you can, it’s great fun and you get to spend some quality time with them!
