Timeless winter wedding style, with Becky Harley Photography

There’s something wonderful about winter sunshine, don’t you think? And there’s most definitely something wonderful about today’s style feature, which I just know you’re going to love.

We’re heading to the beautiful Coltsfoot Country Retreat with our wonderful friend Becky Harley Photography. This is such a wonderful venue, surrounded by beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, and one Becky speaks very highly of!

The two gowns are from Lisa Lyons Bridal
, and work wonderfully well alongside all the wintry styling elements. ‘Mira’ has the most exquisite subtle silvery winter botanical embroidery, and the glittery tulle overskirt is just divine for winter sparkle!

The ‘Stela’ lace dress from Lisa’s Modern Bohemia Collection is so elegant – delicate lace with an enchanting train and such a pretty neckline in an heirloom style which drops beautifully down to a backless V – it’s an incredibly beautiful gown and Becky has captured the detail of this dress with the most romantic photography – just wow!!!

Hair and makeup are by Michelle Nash Make Up and Barberella Bridal Hair. They created two looks to complement both dresses. For ‘Mira’ a traditional updo and natural makeup are so perfectly elegant; and bride Laurie’s side chignon is sooo pretty with the Stela dress. Hair accessories are by Rachel Sokhal Bridal.

The styling and florals are by Queen & Eden. Sara’s touch adds a certain magic to a winter wedding look, using a softly sequinned tablecloth in white, which gives the tables a romantic wintry look and tons of sparkle – perfect for this time of year when candles are such a key feature of wedding tables. The flowers are breathtaking: avalanche roses and tulips, spray roses, astrantia and snow berries.

Frosty vellum paper is the perfect stationery for this wintry look, with Katy from Olive & Millicent creating a lovely botanical wreath invitation suite twinned with white wax seals.

And the cake… we are just head over heels in love with the edible glitter sparkle and majesty of this simple winter wedding cake. The three tiers give it a little grandeur; the white berries, stunning sugar flower and delicate leaves, and that wonderfully soft silk ribbon, make it ever so beautiful. It’s by Meadowsweet Cakes.
