As those beautifully frosty mornings return, I have a truly magical bridal editorial to share with you today. Inspired by Frozen, with an elegant and wonderfully enchanting colour palette of ice blue and white, this shoot from a talented bunch of wedding suppliers at Cavokay’s Old Milking Parlour will inspire winter weddings and festive tables alike! The images were sent in by lovely Natalie Stevenson Photography, who tells us a little about the inspiration for the shoot below.

Christmas is such a magical time; it was important to translate that magic through the medium of this styled shoot. If you love fairytales like me, Disney is the epitome of fairytale romance. I knew right away that Disney’s ‘Frozen’ would serve as the perfect source of inspiration for a romantic and wintery shoot.

The showstopper of the shoot was undeniably the peacock-feather grown by designer Eliza Jane Howell, fit for a real-life snow queen.

A whimsical and feminine design was at the very core, snowy whites and icy blues were paired together in the form of delicate chiffon linens and sleek candles to create a cool and icy feel.

The tablescape was one of the main features, with crystal-cut glassware and regal silverware working in harmony to create a tablescape fit for fairytale royalty. We wanted to create the illusion of being outside in an eternal winter, and the natural suspended branch and dusty foliage did just that.

Echoing the icy kingdom of Arendelle, handmade tiaras and dazzling jewels were modelled by real sisters, signalling a nod to the original tale and creating a wealth of wintery bridalwear glamour as inspiration.

The fairytale theme continues through the finer details, with calligraphic stationery and the most eloquent looking three-tiered cake, featuring edible snow berries powdered in a dusting of icing sugar; creating a perfect harmony of inspiration for the elegant, winter bride.
