Country house wedding style with a modern, delicate twist

Today I have something special to share with you: stunning Paul Zeni wedding dresses and a wonderfully rich and opulent colour palette of deep plums, dusky pinks and luxe textures. I’ve a feeling you’re going to tumble head over heels in love with this shoot – I know I have! Thanks to lovely Sophie Oldhamstead Photography for sharing this with us! I was totally inspired by a selection of Paul Zeni dresses and their focus on beautiful fabrics and embellishments and felt compelled to orchestrate a styled shoot which would allow us to explore a focus on simple foundations but with a modern, delicate twist.
We chose a versatile colour palette of deep plums, dusky pinks and textures of velvet and silk which tied in beautifully with the surroundings of the new Wedding Venue, Baddow Park House. This newly renovated country house oozes elegance and charm, and I felt the dark wood, stunning staircase and bay windows would lend themselves perfectly to a concept of simple, clean traditionalism; creating a backdrop which we could then dress accordingly.
We worked collaboratively to illustrate how small details, such as co-ordinating ribbons with your cake and table styling details, can create a sense of coherence and unity within the day and how alongside the traditional floral decor, gold geo accents can generate a contemporary twist-often a focus for the modern couple.
Alongside this, we worked with a variety of suppliers to demonstrate how setting aside wedding stationery such as invites and menu cards can allow your photographer to capture the finer details of your day, and also chose a focus on sustainable options such as the growing popularity of the use of faux, reusable flowers, instead of traditional floristry.
