Hello beautiful! It’s almost the weekend and we’re excited to be sharing this world of loveliness with you today. As a huge fan of Ailsa Munro’s beautiful dresses I adore this shoot, sent in by lovely stylist Sarah Shuttle. The entire shoot from Pynes House is stunning – the flowers, the cake, the fabrics on the table and how they drape… I love it all. Wedding photographer Lottie Ettling captures everything beautifully. Fine art bridalwear designer Ailsa Munro is launching her new collection of beautiful gowns for 2020 brides. They’re as breathtaking as ever – and I just know they’ll be even more stunning in the flesh. Ailsa’s signature touches are ethereal, floaty fabrics and a gentle, natural movement in every piece she creates. The Armada Collection introduces delicate blue hues, and a chic jumpsuit which is bang on trend for 2020.

I adore the playfully pretty pearl beading, a nod to the sea which inspired this collection. The layering of sheer fabrics and subtle colours – that blue! – works magnificently. If I was getting married I’d be knocking on Ailsa’s door for sure.

Ailsa’s floaty sheer sleeves and graceful silhouettes are delicately beautiful, feminine and timelessly romantic.

The Armada Collection features poet sleeves, floaty separates, intricate hand beading, layers and even a jumpsuit, all captured beautifully in the most stunning surroundings.

The shoot took place at the beautiful Pynes House in Exeter and Sarah created the concept for it around the feel of the dresses. Each dress is named after a ship in the Spanish Armada fleet of the late 16th century. Ailsa took inspiration from this period of history due to her location and connections to the south west coast. The shoot used various shades of blue as a representation of the sea, together with bridal ivory and decadent gold accents.
