Rich, warm berry and gold tones for a Manor Barn Salisbury bridal editorial
Where to begin with today’s stunning shoot? It’s perfect for those of you planning an autumn wedding… but the rich tones are simply glorious and for me this is a look that will work beautifully from late summer through to the winter months. The florals are the absolute star of the show; the styling is rich, opulent and beautiful. Images by Antonia Grace Photography.
My aim was to create something using rich, warm berry and gold tones along with a romantic and alluring moodiness.
The shoot took place at the beautiful The Manor Barn in Salisbury which is right on the doorstep of the famous Stonehenge. The barn is a private wedding venue where they will hold no more than 20 weddings a year making it exclusive and very personal. It is still relatively new as the first wedding hosted by the family was in 2013. It really is a hidden gem.
Our flowers were created by Kate Robinson Flowers who put together an array of beautiful blooms which heavily complimented and brought together every aspect of the shoot and the style we were aiming for. Kate used many rich, warm berry toned flowers along with stunning foliage and pheasant feathers to keep it in style with the barn.
The cake was made by Bella Cakes by Sharon. She created a beautiful 3 tier ivory fondant wedding cake delicately decorated with 24ct gold leaf which was then complimented further by the flowers.
Our dresses were from the stunning bridal boutique Willoughby & Wolf of Marlborough who only opened their doors in September 2018. We have showcased two beautiful gowns: one by designer Marco & Maria and the other by Watters.
Hair was by the very accomplished Stacey Johnson of Updoo. She showcased her adaptability in hairstyles by creating a romantic wave, and a more contemporary loose braid decorated with delicate hair pins provided by Willoughby & Wolf.
Makeup was created by Katie Aldridge Makeup who worked well to create a sultry smokey eye which was then complimented by a deep berry lip colour.
Lastly we have our stationery which was made by Lucy Ann Design. She wanted to showcase her beautiful stationery for which she provided an invitation along with RSVP and also a place setting. She kept in with the colours and style of the shoot and finished it off with a beautiful wax stamp.
