Ginger & Jamie’s totally unique Ashmolean Museum wedding in Oxford, with MT Studio

I love a wedding which is different. Of course every single wedding day is unique, because it’s all about the people and making your day personal… but then there are some weddings which really stand out from the crowd! For Ginger and Jamie, the venue made their day extra spectacular. Imagine being married in a museum, surrounded by history and treasures – making memories of your very own, to last forever.
Ginger and Jamie are gorgeous: Ginger’s just the most beautiful bride, and Jamie her perfect match! Styling their day was a matter of keeping things simple, and timeless – as the backdrop of The Ashmolean Museum was all they needed to make this a truly unique and wonderful wedding!
All images are by Oxford wedding photographer MT Studio. Photographer Maciek told me, “I was truly humbled when I was asked to photograph Ginger and Jamie’s Wedding. The bride and groom had chosen to exchange rings surrounded only by their closest friends and family. Their pre-wedding lunch was held in the Old Bank Hotel, followed by a low key ceremony in the European Art Gallery of The Ashmolean Museum – one of the classiest wedding venues in Oxford.
After the ceremony, Ginger, Jamie and I sneaked out for a mini session in the Greek and Roman gallery, using stunning ancient sculptures as a photo backdrop. Meanwhile, guests were enjoying a gorgeous summer afternoon in the museum’s rooftop restaurant – a surprisingly tranquil space, even though it’s located right in the heart of busy Oxford.
What I loved about Ginger and Jamie’s wedding is that on one hand it was witnessed only by their friends and family, on the other, by half a million years of art and history.
