Something Blue – inspirational wedding pretty from Bawtry Hall in Yorkshire

Wedding inspiration comes in all styles and colours, but when it’s shot at the exclusive Bawtry Hall near Doncaster and you have South Yorkshire’s finest suppliers in attendance, you know it’s going to be pretty inspirational. So, get ready to Instagram, pin, like and share this contemporary styled shoot, sent in by Neil Senior Photography.
The group of award winning suppliers who brought this shoot together wanted a theme that was organic and could grow as their designs took shape. It’s a great idea to visit your venue and look at the colours already there, especially for a venue like Bawtry Hall. So they chose soft shades of blue, grey accents, and hues of gold and peach to tastefully reflect the elegant sophistication and modern design elements that Bawtry Hall is known for.
Beautiful dresses from KMR Bridal in Sheffield perfectly fit the elegant style of Bawtry Hall – Kelly’s wedding gowns are timeless and graceful. Paul’s classic blue suit complements the dress, and his buttonhole and the bridal bouquet by Maggie Rose Bouquets add a unique finishing touch. The models’ hair and make up by Harriet Harvey and Charlotte Mallinder are classic and timelessly beautiful.
The florals by Sam from Fantail Designer florist are a highlight, with rich and pastel blue hydrangeas, pops of coral and blush with tendrils of foliage to soften the shape of the arrangements. They must have smelled incredible on the day! Sam used seedheads and berries for texture to create a modern bouquet with classic flowers and foliage.
Bawtry Hall is enchanting both inside and out: with so many interesting fireplaces, doorways, staircases and windows to explore, you’ll be spoilt for choice for having beautiful wedding photos taken – I love how this shoot uses them to give a real flavour of Bawtry’s character. The gardens are equally wonderful, with white hydrangeas in summer time and the most adorable nooks and crannies for stunning couple portraits at golden hour.
Harriet Fox‘s bespoke stationery suites bring a touch of modern styling to the look, with a fabulous illustration of Bawtry Hall on one suite, and contemporary floral design for the others. They’re brilliant! And last but not least, the glorious cake table is by The Snowdrop Cakery – the attention to detail here is incredible.
“As a photographer the majority of civil ceremony weddings I photograph the table at the bottom of your aisle is often either left empty with a white cloth or has a beautiful row of florals. I would love to see this area personalised more. Weddings are very personal celebrations and your ceremony table should reflect this too. So, we arranged a sweetheart ceremony table which we adorned with florals, candles, wooden sentiments galore to illustrate the possibility of celebrating your relationship journey. We kept design features low on the table and then framed the display with gold candelabras on plinths. You could even add photo’s or personal mementos to your display. There is so much you can do with this space, why not get a little creative with it, remember items can be moved by venue staff from your ceremony table onto your top table for signing of the register if space is required. #PersonaliseYourWedding.” ~ Neil Senior Photography
