UK wedding cake designers are the best in the world. My favourite cake designers are all based in the UK, and there’s so much choice in wedding cakes you’ll never struggle to find one you love! Gone are the days when designers were limited by convention; ingredients for a modern wedding cake include folklore, nature and Russian jewellery boxes – at least according to the fabulous Rosalind Miller Cakes!
Rosalind Miller’s Winter Garden wedding cake is a true showstopper; the ideal statement cake for a winter wedding celebration. I love icy blues and silver for a winter wedding; the delicate styling and flower stems of this cake make it both intricate and striking.
For a floral wedding cake and an English garden wedding style, I just love the Ring O Roses cake – inspired by a nursery rhyme, it has a pretty simplicity and girlish colours which work beautifully together.
A real classic with roses and the palest blue: the ivory roses on this cake are so carefully crafted to give real elegance for a winter wedding
The Midnight Garden cake lights up – if you think it’s beautiful in the daytime imagine your guests’ reactions as evening falls. So often we miss even seeing a wedding cake amidst the buzz of celebration but if you’re looking for a statement design or talking point which is unmissable then this is your cake!
A shape to turn heads: Rosalind’s champagne and open rose cake is just divine! The compact box design with quirky, characterful roses is stunning; the leaning tower of sugar flowers will have everyone admiring this one!
The Azure Lake design is full of character, and if you’re having a statement wedding with bright colours then this is for you. The dragonfly is striking; the golds and mixed blue shades so very different and exciting!
And last, but most definitely one of the best, is Rosalind’s Amethyst Forest wedding cake. The trailing cascade of wild flowers in shades of purple could come straight from the pages of a fairytale – this is a wedding cake full of imagination and creativity. Did you spot the tiny pearl branches with little gold birds? Do look again…
