Hey beautiful! It’s festive season on English Wedding so while I relax in a pile of tinsel with a bottle of Baileys and a book, I’m sharing some favourite weddings from our 2018 archives. The next two weeks will be full of the most gorgeous, inspiring celebrations for you to swoon over, Pin to your heart’s content and generally get inspired by! We’re starting with lovely Keye and James, whose vineyard wedding at The Swan, Chapel Down was captured by Steven Rooney Photography and styled by the amazing Hire Love! Enjoy!

Happy weekend, lovelies! There’s a definite chill in the air this morning, so I’m feeling the need to snuggle up with my guy, in all our cosiest blankets and throws, supping hot chocolate and – is it too early?! – in front of our new fireplace. The plan for the day is most definitely comfort food and staying toasty!

It feels like the perfect opportunity to share some winter wedding ideas with you. Lovely Katie Rogers Photography sent me this shoot full of luscious velvets and Wild Rubus‘s deliciously textured winter florals. The theme for the day was a rich, velvet palette with a hint of metallic, which works beautifully. The dresses by Wendy Makin and Cymbeline are just divine; and I especially adore the velvety vows books by Elmo Paper Stories.

I guess if we could all describe our perfect wedding it would be something like this: fun, relaxed, gorgeously styled, games, drinks, full of personality, laughter, love, unique. Keye and James nailed all of those – and then some. They added circus and carnival, wow factor, fizz and flames. The opulent floral displays are breathtaking and the styling is oh-so-pretty and perfectly on trend. Their day is spectacularly styled with beautiful summer blooms, calligraphy signage, smoke bombs, brilliant outdoor games – and our gorgeous grooms look fantastic in matching outfits with waistcoats and bowties.
