Ah, Monday – would you allow me to wear my pyjamas just a little longer while I blog? It’s been a busy old weekend here at English Wedding HQ and I’m just a little sleepy… and yes, I know it’s nearly lunchtime! How was your weekend? Anyways, I have the loveliest wedding style ideas for you today – from my lovely friend Sheryl at Oobaloos Photography in Cheltenham. Sheryl stepped in at the last minute to capture this beautiful photoshoot from Lords of the Manor Hotel, a former 17th century rectory situated in the heart of the idyllic Cotswolds countryside. I was thrilled when she asked me if I’d send one of the new invitation suites we’re now selling in the English Wedding Shop (go see!) and I’m just over the moon to be sharing all of these lovely images today.
It breaks my heart to be selling my little Vespa this spring… but at the same time it makes me smile to see this gorgeous shoot on the blog today with a vintage Vespa looking so beautiful and ready for adventures! If you’ve already flicked through the pages of our FREE digital magazine the English Wedding Bible you’ll recognise this…
The beautiful styling is by lovely Lauradana at Wedding Creations. With her instinct for delicate, relaxed styling she transports us to Italy effortlessly – we’re treated to glorious courtyard dining with perfectly on trend, elegant touches. Every careful detail is captured beautifully by Bowtie & Belle Photography. The flowers by Bride and Bloom are wonderful; fabrics by Kate Cullen soften the tablescape so prettily and give the styling an artisan edge. And the cakes by Vanilla Pod Bakery and the Cheltenham Cakery… I don’t think I’ve seen a dreamier illustrated cake than this in a decade of wedding blogging!
The English garden wedding theme is one – quite possibly the only one – which will always be on trend. We love the romance of our home-grown flowers, the greenery and scents of hazy summer days – and it’s a style which conjures up memories from childhood, days in the countryside and magical holidays close to home.
Greenery is a huge thing for 2017 – and we love it to bits. This shoot is full of gorgeous foliage and fabulous styling with softer accent colours and statement blooms. Stylist Lauradana from Wedding Creations combines those gorgeous greens with white and soft pinks to create a feminine wedding style I know you’ll love.
The overall look is perfect for 2017: the loveliest of fine art photography and delicate styling with a timeless English garden appeal. Do take a moment to discover more from the wonderfully talented Bowtie & Belle Photography:
Today’s wedding has the most glamorous dress ever, a gorgeous couple and some exquisite details. The reception venue is a highlight: a fabulous party space with tons of character. The cake table is wonderful, the table styling quirky and fun. This is a party spread over several days… and it’s awesome. I think you’re going to love Maddy and Adam’s Cheltenham wedding!
“I loved this day. Ever since my first days as a photographer ‘paying her dues’ I have photographed on the steps of Pittville Pump Rooms. Parkfit, fun runs, charity events and Zumba plus numerous family shoots. This park has a special significance to everyone I know in this town.
“All three locations for this wedding felt like home, and the entire day had the atmosphere of being ‘one big happy family’ I love how Maddy and Adam threw tradition to the wind and really did it their way. I am so honoured that they chose me to record their day.”

I still remember a couple of words from my time spent living in Italy as a student* – E bellissima! Che bella! Lo amo… all of which apply to this divine Sicilian rustic inspired wedding styled shoot rather nicely!
*and from photo shoots with lovely Chris Hanley‘s repertoire of Italian accenti…!!
I was thrilled to be asked to send some of my rustic wedding stationery to lovely stylist Lauradana Day of Wedding Creations UK. Lauradana is a rising star in the wedding industry, fuelled by her dedication to bespoke, handmade and meticulously crafted accessories and styling for brides all over the world – she’s worked on weddings in 18 different countries to date!
Lauradana also makes her own beautiful hand dyed silk ribbons, and I have just a few of these saved up for a rainy day to photograph in a mini styled shoot of my own… watch this space!
