How is your Monday going? Would you like to see something really beautiful? As those of you who follow my calligraphy instagram will know, my favourite place is outside. The more breathtaking the location, the happier I am – and so today’s elopement shoot has my heart.

“There are some places I’ve photographed on this lovely planet that I simply want to keep secret.  Places off the beaten track, away from the hustle of daily life, jaw droppingly beautiful and yet a comparatively short stone’s throw from where I live.

I give you the Lofoten Islands in Arctic Norway.

A string of mountainous islands connected by undersea tunnels and winding bridges, not only is it a road-tripper’s paradise, it also played host to Håvard and Stine’s stunning elopement that I got to photograph recently.

There’s a wonderful story behind every wedding, and you really mustn’t miss today’s! Samantha and Jamie are not only gorgeous – like, ridiculously stunning, the pair of them! – but they have shared some lovely pearls of wisdom in their English Wedding Blog interview. What a super couple… you’ll love them!

For example, Samantha did an hour of yoga on the morning of her wedding. What a wonderful way to relax! Every guest had a personal, handwritten message on the day, and there were no expensive wedding favours. The advice from today’s bride is priceless: “Spend on the memorable and impactful elements and cut back on those that seem important during the planning stages but on the day are quickly forgotten.

Images are by documentary wedding photographer Steve Fuller, who is based in Kent. Steve told me Eridge Park was a wonderful wedding venue with breathtaking views of the Kent countryside – it’s a private home with space for a garden marquee which meant Samantha and Jamie had the perfect blank canvas to style their day as well as incredible grounds and landscapes to enjoy!

Marrianne and David’s wedding has everything – as you’ll see from the extensive list of DIY and personal touches Marrianne sent in with her wedding report! Being a graphic designer by trade, Marrianne wanted to tackle the design and decor for their wedding herself, and did an amazing job! Today’s wedding in Kent is a feast of colour, a treat for paper lovers and is going to make my little wedding blog look absolutely amazing for the day!

Hello there! I know you’re going to love Luke and Hannah’s Kent wedding blog. It’s the first wedding I’ve ever featured from the wonderful 14th century manor house Penshurst Place, which is magnificent. Hannah looks incredibly beautiful in a wedding dress by Stephanie Allin, and Luke is every bit the English gent in a long jacket complete with cane.

There are so many fantastic ideas here to inspire your wedding planning, including sunflower bouquets and table decorations, and – my favourites – the cutest little place name card holders with dinky little sunflowers.

But the most exciting thing about today’s wedding is Hannah and Luke’s memories of the moment their eyes met as Hannah walked down the aisle:

Hannah: “I will never forget seeing Luke for the first time as I walked down the aisle and the look on his face when he turned around and saw me. I couldn’t stop smiling, nothing has ever felt so right!”
