Isn’t it cold this week?! I’ve gotten so used to all the glorious sunshine I’m having to layer up in jumpers again until we get a second wave of SUMMER! But in the meantime I’ve this glorious August wedding for you, full of sunny tropical florals and vibrant colours, with images by lovely English Wedding member Tara at Pudding & Plum Photography. Alex and Pete’s day is wonderful with some fabulous styling touches, and still brilliantly real and down to earth. The gorgeous happy couple celebrated their day at their family home, with a marquee reception and lots of lovely personal touches.

I love these two because their wedding is just so personal and full of the things they love – all the food was locally sourced, the gin was home made and they had a beer keg wall (which is just awesome. Keg walls are the future!) There’s a photo of villagers outside the church with a home made drinks station which is so charmingly English – and then a London bus to take guests to the reception. They had a Fijian choir – Alex spent some time in Fiji – and the tiki print on the cake and table cloths are Fijian inspired. The tropical florals add so much colour to the day – even Flick the dog wears a little floral collar.

Gill and Andy’s wedding is like a dream – the perfect beach location; breathtaking spots for those keep-forever photographs and the prettiest of seaside styling touches. They married at Tunnels Beaches in Devon, and chose Evolve Photography to capture their day and the fabulous Pumpkin & Pye for beautiful florals.

Gill’s bridal separates are exquisite – she knew she wanted a skirt and a top rather than a dress. “I tried on about 20 different dresses before I found a store that had a skirt and a top. I knew as soon as I put it on that it was the one! The designer was Karen Willis Holmes and the boutique I bought it from was Martin Charles Bridal in Peterborough. I couldn’t recommend Martin highly enough. He is incredibly talented and made my dress fit like a glove.

I decided that my dress was a statement enough and didn’t want it to be overpowered by lots of jewellery so I kept it simple. I had feather earrings which went with my boho theme and a bangle my mother had given to me for my something new with sapphires in it to match my engagement ring and wedding band.
