This week has just flown by! I hope you’ve had a lovely one and are all ready for the weekend. Before we kick off our work gear I have one more wedding to share with you (and watch out for some fabulous advice features over the weekend too!). Today we join gorgeous couple Sarah & Alex for their Essex wedding at St Osyth church with a reception in Alex’s grandmother’s back garden! The bouquet by Miss Fleur Floral Design will make you fall-over-swoon and the images are just soooo beautiful! They’re by our lovely friend and English Wedding member Grace Elizabeth, who is based in Colchester.

The blue stone from Alex’s grandmother’s ring which you’ll see in the photos was actually the centrepiece for Sarah’s second engagement ring, so it’s become something of a family heirloom – not to mention totally stunning too! Theirs was a beautiful, small wedding, and in no way a big affair.

Happy Friday folks! What are your plans for the weekend? We’ll be relaxing after a tough week of man flu, I think!! But let’s hark back to the summer months, shall we? Beautiful Leila & her gorgeous groom Mike had a laid back outdoor wedding in June at the very lovely Shortmead House in Biggleswade, which is set in the Bedfordshire countryside. It had a very English country garden feel, which photographer Lorna Newman has captured beautifully for us. I hope you love this stunning summer wedding as much as I do!

All images are by lovely Lorna Newman, whose style is wonderfully fun and creative – her romantic shots throughout the day from morning through to sunrise are just divine. The wedding was non-traditional, very beautiful and relaxed, it was just perfect.

“I had always loved Grace Loves Lace dresses but never thought I would have had the chance to try one let along buy one! They opened a showroom in London and it went from there…

Hey lovelies! I hope you’re all having a wonderful day, wherever you are. Do you still have sunshine? I think it’s deserted us here, which makes me even more happy to have a ton of beautiful weddings to share with you this month – and today’s is a dream.

Jen and Adam were married at Houchins Farm, Coggeshall, Essex. They’d originally planned to get married abroad but after spending the last two years traveling together they decided to come back to their roots to celebrate their marriage where they grew up, surrounded by close friends and family. Their wedding photographer was none other than our lovely friend Kathryn Hopkins (whose beautiful pics you’ll have seen gracing the front cover of the English Wedding Bible).

Jen was looking for a non traditional bohemian vibe, and found her dress whilst in Australia. On the day Kathryn mentioned that she looked like a woodland fairy, to which she responded delightedly ‘exactly the look I was going for’! So here’s a crazy thing: a collection of some of the most AMAZING wedding photos I’ve seen all year, from a couple who told me, “Most of our guests didn’t realise we had a photographer, which is how Colin [of Colin Nicholls Photography] manages to get such beautiful, natural shots.

Today’s real wedding comes from the beautiful Hertfordshire wedding venue Loudwater Farm – another wonderful thing I’ve somehow managed to never feature on the English Wedding Blog before. And so it sort of feels as though my Christmas has come early.

Jess and Joe are both gorgeous. Their wedding is perfect – it’s one of my favourites of 2015 (which I’ll be sharing in a special feature in January). DIY was a major part of their day, and Jess told me “My mum was an absolute hero and took charge of the homemade elements. She loves crafts, and gave us so many good ideas for decoration, as well as making it all!” But the homemade side of this wedding goes above and beyond: Joe even brewed most of the beer! How awesome is that?!!
