It’s no secret that your wedding venue is one of the most fundamental aspects of your special day. We all have our dream venue, yet finding the one that ticks off all the boxes can be a challenge.

However, there is nothing more quintessentially British than a countryside manor house.

There are hundreds of amazing manor houses in the UK, and our friends at Delamere Manor are here to share with you some of the benefits of choosing a countryside manor house for your wedding.

A Classic Location

Surrounded by the beauty of the Cheshire countryside, with its wild woodlands, rolling hills, and overlooking a picturesque six-acre lake, Delamere Manor is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city – transporting you to a world of fantasy.

Nobody does it better than Britain for its stunning architecture and ode to nature as the source of inspiration for classical romance – offering tradition and elegance as a signature English venue. The views alone are ideal for filming and photoshoots to capture every special moment.

I’ve been waiting to share this beautiful wedding inspiration for months! It’s perfect for winter, fabulously rich and colourful with the most wonderful fabrics, sparkle and geometric detail! This is the second part of an EPIC bridal story – we featured the first part of this editorial photoshoot from some of Cheshire’s most sought-after wedding suppliers back in October.

Lovely wedding photographer Zehra Jagani – Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2018’s Asian Wedding Awards – and the amazingly talented Sadauf from The Wedding Fairy teamed up to create this incredible editorial at Delamere Manor.

Together they created all of these different bridal looks in grey and pink, then green and grey, and finally in uber luxurious burgundy and gold tones.

The floral design is a work of art – beginning the day with soft pink roses, pampas grass and gypsophila with delicate anemones and elegant tulips, then the most wonderful array of dark red roses, coral tulips, orchids, lilies and clematis to create a spectacular backdrop and display for the focal area of the room.

Hello, beautiful! I’m so incredibly excited today to be sharing one part of an EPIC bridal story – this is an editorial photoshoot from some of Cheshire’s most sought-after wedding suppliers. Lovely wedding photographer Zehra Jagani – Wedding Photographer of the Year in 2018’s Asian Wedding Awards – and the amazingly talented Sadauf from The Wedding Fairy teamed up to create something as dreamy as can be at Delamere Manor. Together they created a timeless look, with some beautiful cool tones of platinum greys and dusty blues with figs, mixed berries, herbs and all year round floral sprigs – and they were kind enough to invite me to provide calligraphy and stationery (Find me at By Moon & Tide) for the occasion.

Good morning! I hope you’ve had the most wonderful weekend. Today I just can’t resist sharing some of the beautiful images lovely Zehra Jagani sent to me a day or two ago. These are from a wedding inspiration shoot which I supplied calligraphy for. The shoot was published on Brides Up North over the summer.

The epic shoot these came from had a Provençal flavour, with dreamy eucalyptus and soft blues and greys – and florals to die for! I love the colours of the calligraphy for a winter wedding though: the soft tones and delicate papers work beautifully for a modern wedding in the colder half of the year.

The handwritten menus on acrylic work beautifully placed over eucalyptus – and that little berry peeking from underneath is a sweet touch for a more autumnal wedding. These can have names added to double up as place names / menus. Contact me for details!
